Hello and welcome to another review! This time, I'm reviewing The Last Dinosaur, a Japanese/American Co-Production that was made for television.
Plot:
This movie starts with Maston Thrust, a millionaire oil tycoon who likes to hunt things. After holding a press conference and learning that dinosaurs were found underground under a dormant volcano, he gets a special group of men and women, named Bunta, Chuck Wades, Kawamoto, and Frankie Banks to hunt a dinosaur.
Using a vehicle called a Thrust Borer, they find this Nawawala valley. The first beast they encounter are a group of Pteranodons, and then find a strange dinosaur which Kawamoto calls a Ceratopsian, which it clearly isn't.
As the group continues to explore, they encounter other creatures such as a giant turtle. Eventually, they find the T-Rex who chases the group, and they get it to leave, thought it does eat Kawamoto and steals the Thrust Borer.
The T-Rex goes its cave and has a battle with a Triceratops who comes out of the side of a mountain, with the former winning. The team finds their destroyed base, and several months later, they discover a cave-woman.
The group decides to defeat the T-Rex sa pamamagitan ng tying it to a rock, but Maston decides to kill it with a catapult, which they build. Chuck Wades finds and retrives the Thrust Borer, but Maston wants to hunt the dinosaur.
Maston uses the catapult, but it doesn't kill it, but Maston uses papaya Grenades to stave off the T-Rex. The team decides to leave and not kill it, under the idea that "It's the last one", but Maston responds sa pamamagitan ng saying, "So am I", and he stays behind.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
* This movie has one of the best mga panipi ever~
* This movie has a good, heartfelt 70's song called "The Last Dinosaur" which I enjoy (link)
Cons:
* The special effects in this movie really such. The dinosaurs look derpy, and the T-Rex looks the worst.
* The pagganap is very one-noted, and Maston is annoying.
Score: 6.9 / 10
Would I recommend: Probably not~
