Okay so we all know that the Mona Lisa was painted sa pamamagitan ng Leonardo da Vinci. But we don't know who that woman actually is. Her name is Lisa Gherardini the faithful wife of Francesco del Giocondo. Now why was she so important to paint? Oddly enough finding information on Francesco was difficult. He isnt that well known only his wife.

Francesco was a Florentine silk merchant. That was all that i could find. Why the lack of information on this man? So i looked harder. I did find that Mona Lisa was his third wife. Here is the shocker. Francesco was imprisoned and fined. It had something to do with a government scandal. Since he was a big art lover he asled Leonardo to paint a portait to celebrate his kid birthday and the moving into the new home.

In other news last taon was reported the scientist were looking for Mona Lisa's burial site. I have no clue whether they found it or not but you can belive i figure it out susunod time on My Latest Discovery.
