"Society is no longer a society...but a false sense of nature, demented and perverted to the favor of madness."

This world has fallen under tyranny at the hands of a world government after one of the most violent wars that history had ever witnessed. And with the rise of this world government, came dark days.

*In the mid 2070's famine struck the world during the most greatest Greatest Depression that the world would ever come to know, the third, labeled the Grand Depression. Economic markets plummeted into a devastating crash. Resources became scarce within just the following years alone. And within this time where humanity was forced to its knees, the monsters that were held back within their cages of morality, religions, and politics were unleashed.

[The First Strike: Korea in Ruins]

{2031} In the midst of 2031, a vigilant group of Koreans under the label of Jung Un Jae'in raided a American military base that had been established there in 2026 due to a series of events that lead to U.S.'s attention being grabbed and their aid needed. The presence of U.S. soldiers on Korean soil didn't settle well with the North Koreans, and this led to an altercation that lead to the deaths of hundreds of U.S. Soldiers and the theft of equipment.

This, of course, did not fair well with the powers of the United States, and with the combined efforts of name slandering and pushing agendas, a course of retaliation taken by the end of 2034 when another incident resulting in death on both sides occurred.

{2035} The year of 2035 began within a roar of flames as Korea's power plants rested in decimation beyond repair, resulting in the the country's highest rate of casualties in history.

In means of retaliation, the president of the U.S. at the time initiated Operation Blunt Bird in which two 500 lb non-nuclear bomb code-named Cold Sore and Little Jimmy were dropped from a pair of undetected VT-28s, the U.S.'s much more superior version of Sukhoi's earlier SU-27 fighter jet simultaneously at approximately 2:33pm U.S. time. The bombs contacted with Korea's nuclear plants, causing a considerable amount more of damage than what had originally been intended, the collateral stretching as far as Japan.

[The First Strike: Enter, China. Neutral Mother Russia?]

{2036} The tragic end of over 3/4ths of Korea in one fellow swoop was broadcast on television screens all across the world, resulting in a global scaled uproar. China was the first to kick down the political doors with steel toed boots. North Korea was one of China's trading partners, being North Korea's most important. And of course, they didn't take to well to the disaster of an attack on their country either. Japan was backing them on this, for a good portion of their population had been affected by the U.S's assault. Both Japan and China were then backed by Germany, who brought to light the statement that the U.S. had too much power and influence over the world, power that they abused.

However, the UK sided with the U.S., arguing that North Korea had been getting out of control and that the U.S. took affirmative action, believing that the collateral that was caused was at Korea's fault, as well as China's for allowing Korea to have nuclear power plants within the premise of the country to begin with. They looked to Russia for their input, expecting them to side with their actions.
However, Russia sided with neither, their leader making it clear that they were not looking to be involved, and had no political views on the situation at that current moment.
Nearing the end of the year, three of Russia's cargo ships were destroyed by an unidentified fighter jet, and that sealed that's when they stepped on the side of China.
By the end of the year, sides were being chosen and forces were being collected in preparations for what would soon be more violence. The U.S., Canada, Hawaii, Australia, Spain, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, otherwise known as the United Axis, against the forces of Russia, China, what was left of Korea, Japan, Germany, France, Indonesia, and Iran:The Allied East. The War, had begun.

[The War Begins, The War Ends]
{2037 - 2064} During the beginning of the war, The U.S. and their allied forces had the advantage with their slight edge in technology and upperhand in defensive capabilities, a big enough edge to have kept the war in their favor for the first four years. They bombarded their enemies with airstrikes and chemical gasses, forcing them back.
But what they hadn't prepared for was the retaliation that they were met with.

With China's overall intellect and Russia's firepower, it didn't take long for these allied forces to find their footing and create and advantage of their own. However...they came with something...more. A secret weapon.
In 2045, The Allied East divided their forces into three. A quarter of their forces retreating into the cold climates of Russia while another fled into China.
The United Axis, thinking that they were closing in on a victory, were in for a surprise. U.S. and Canadian soldiers set foot onto Russian soil, the delusion that they were pushing back the Allied East still in mind. Until their on ground forces came in contact with...the weapon.

{Russia and China Alliance: The C.E.O.H.I.I.H}
As far back as 1954, despite their differences around that time, China and Russia had becomes partners in the experimenting and study of cybernetic enhancements in secret. This was around the same time period that the CIA developed the experiment known as Project QKHILLTOP, which was used to study Chinese brainwashing techniques that they would later enforce into interrogation methods and also a by product of Project Artichoke, another CIA experiment out of many during that time frame.

During their time working with one another, both Russia and China experimented with the possibilities of what the normal human body's limits were before they proceeded with what was first known as the Homunculus Experiment. During this project, they used apes and animals as their guinea pigs before moving up to using inmates and the homeless as their new experiment material, moving and replacing veins and internal organs as they pleased and attempting to replace them with mechanical ligaments and non-organic organs. This was also around the time period that the first programmable and digital robot was created by George Devol in 1954, who's work was copied for further subjective use.

Attempt after attempt to create a perfect being of human and non-human qualities(cybernetic) failed time and time again. Their attempts were put to rest in 1965, and The Homunculus Experiment was shutdown until 1992, where it began once more under the name of Project Homunculus v2: HUMANculus, or better known as the C.E.O.H.I.I.H.(Cybernetic Enhancements of Human Individuals into Humanculi) where successions were made and progression skyrocketed, leaving nothing but room for improvements. This time, they had the aid of Japan.

Fast forward back to the war, the forces of the United Axis that pursued one of the portions of the Allied East into Russia were first met with Russia's cold, the temperature dropping steadily the deeper they ventured into the enemy territory. And what had been awaiting them were...only three individuals, all of them hidden cloaks of cloth that did absolutely nothing against the cold, not that they necessarily needed it. Each cloak one was branded with the term "Humanculus" in bold red capital letters. Each one had two letters, one at the beginning and one at the end, and two digit numbers. H01a, H01b, and H01c. This was the turning point of the war.

What the United Axis were up against were...human, or at least they appeared to be at first. But as their forces were torn through like soggy tissue being severed, they found that "human" they were, but...not just human. They were also..machine. Man and machine as one. And try as the soldiers of the United Axis may, their efforts were useless. Bullets seemed to have little to no noticeable effect at all. Airstrikes were nullified by almost instant anti-aircraft retaliation. Tanks were a bit more effective, but even those were torn to shrapnel and destroyed. These humanoid machines were...monsters. Blood craving monsters.

It took only a day and a half for the three cybernetic humanoids to force the United Axis and their arriving reinforcements out of the motherlands of Russia, slaughtering their opponents while they retreated.
Meanwhile in China, the United Axis had already been told of the horrors witnessed by their allies that had been in Russia and was already retreating. The U.S. military had designated two atomic bombs to be dropped. One within Russia, the other on China. But what they hadn't been accounting four was the forces flanking and entering Canada, the third portion of the Allied East. And with them, the fourth addition to the United Axis's secret weapons. H01d. And unlike the others, this one was armed with heavier firepower.
It stared with a flash of light from a super EMP. From there, they begin their attempt at a takeover, and succeeded.

With a death toll a million deaths higher than WW2, a war torn China, Russia, and U.S., the war ended in 2064, with the Allied East as the one and only victor. The United Axis...had fallen, and the years of grudges held towards the U.S. showed their true colors.

[After The War]

The first few years that followed after the war was attributed to celebration, reconstruction, and...law implementing. The U.S.'s former government was picked apart and build anew, though the base of it's foundation remained in a sense. Armed Russian and Chinese forces raided the U.S., quickly implementing their new rule over it's people. The heads of Russia, China, France, and a representative for Japan became the government, each given jurisdiction over a certain region before they started stretching some of their control to the United Kingdom. With their last resort of a defense line in ruins, there was nothing else they could do.
With the combined efforts of the Allied East, a new world was beginning to build. But the further this process went, a stir started up, and soon came a new problem.
There was something needed to satisfy the hatred held towards the United Axis as a whole, particularly the verdict of the war: The U.S..


{2070} With the fresh start of another decade, the new world government, now known as The STATE, decided to create a chain of laws. Something that they referred to as the "end of all wars". The first new law that was passed was in the form of a bill,
War Potential Act, constructed by Japan's representative. This bill stated that despite the United Axis being war criminals, the rich and the middle classes of each respective country would be allowed the freedom to live among the poor of theirs and start over. But in return, the poor, recruits, and the soldiers would be automatically volunteered individuals for their cybernetic experimentation. The individuals would be fed and have a place to sleep as well as other humane needs. They would also be subject to hard labor. This bill was then turned into a permanent only a month after it was passed. Camps were set up in booth Russia, Asia, The U.S. (Which now stood for United S.T.A.T.E), and France.
And though this was at the utter dismay of Japan's people, this was only the beginning of what was necessary to making ends meet.
Meanwhile, there was another project that the S.T.A.T.E. had in process.

{2077} This is the year that the captured soldiers and the poor of their country were labeled the собаки(Sobaki --->Dogs) by the Russian citizens. The homes that they were promised were steel prison camps in which they resided in, children were taken for experimentation and people forced to "breed" in order to find the most dominant and effective genes for testing.
This would only lead to a form of entertainment that corresponded with the hatred towards the Sobaki,

The year of 2090. The STATE is the dominating power of the world, ruling with an iron fist and a steel toed boot over its citizens. Society has now further adopted the norm of augmentation, but just as in every society, there is a growing civil discomfort beneath the surface.

An enormous wall has been built around the state of what was once New York, and the state itself had become a massive dystopian arena in which thousands of people are thrown into to face off against robotic soldiers and the machines that the STATE refers to as the Humanculi, highly augmented, highly durable half human entities for entertainment, ruthlessly hunted down and murdered for fun and sport. Most of them are the prototypes.
This arena is known as the Roulette due to it's shifting environment of ruins and run down buildings. Prisoners, traitors, the rebellious, and what they deemed failed experiments, all of them came here alongside the Sobaki if not killed on sight.
- The Roulette functions in 1-3 rounds, each round being a day and thirty minutes long. Supplies are given at the beginning, things such as food, weaponry, and ammunition, sometimes even physical enhancements but scarcely, and allies may become enemies in a race to obtain them.
- After each round, a random crate of supplies are dropped in three different areas around the large city.
- After all three rounds, the survivors are tended to by professors and doctors who were...a bit more than just that. The survivors are then shipped back to their camps where they would be granted time to rest and recuperate before, though they would inevitably have high chance of being sent back into the Roulette with the next group if their "popularity" among the people was high enough, which depended on if one would be able to survive in the first place along with many other factors. But that's IF, they are able to make it to the carrier helicopter. If not, then they'll be automatically forced back into the Roulette.

Meanwhile the STATE has been looking to expand the Roulette as well as their new laws to what is still the UK, while also setting their sights on Antarctica for reasons unknown. But what is known is that people are sent to that frozen wasteland...and those people never return.

There have been a few escapes "Sobaki" that have escaped, but not many and those who have tried and failed faced dire consequences. To where the escape could have gone to disappear from the State's radar...no one knows.

There are currently 12 known archetype Humanculi in existence, and four more in which are prototypes (H01a, H01b, H01c, and H01d), otherwise known as the Four Omens.
