Dreams are, by definition, "A succession of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that usually occurs involuntarily during certain stages of sleep". These successions are extremely diverse, ranging from the normal, like peaceful strolls through a field of flowers, to abnormal, like navigating the toppings of an ove-rsized Pizza in search of the holy salt shaker. But despite their diverse nature, all of these successions can be divided into two distinct categories, depending on what's responsible for them;

Dreams, the harmless successions that peacefully exist within the mind and are caused by Dream Espers*, and Nightmares, the harmful successions that can corrupt the mind and are caused by Nightmare Espers*.

These successions, both Dreams and Nightmares, exist in an alternate reality. When beings from our world fall asleep, their subconscious temporarily drifts between our own reality, the "Outercast"*, and that alternate reality, the "Dreamcast"*. This drifting area in-between the two realities, known as "Inertia"*, is where our two realities mix together to create the successions humans recognize as Dreams. But what humans don't recognize, is the dangerous possibilities that come with these dreams and nightmares.

While conscious, the human mind is extremely powerful, and difficult to tamper with by a Dream or Nightmare, a gift given to humanity by the Creator. While drifting in Inertia, however, your subconscious is completely unprotected and able to be freely tampered with by Dream and Nightmare Espers alike. While Dream Espers are harmless and even helpful at times, simply passing through this in-between space and giving dreams to innocent humans, Nightmare Espers and very dangerous. Nightmare Espers feed off of Humans= emotion and temptation, and use the subconscious of drifting humans to grow stronger. The stronger their presence, the easier it is to inhabit the bodies of humans in our world, turning people into bloodthirsty monsters and maniacs under the control of demons. Of course, no human weaponry can take on these other-dimensional threats.

That's where Dreamers like you come in.

Some especially gifted humans can freely move between the Outercast, Inertia, and Dreamcast while fully conscious. These humans, known as Dreamers, are recruited by the Dream King* to eliminate Nightmare Espers that trespass into the Outercast. They hold powers that transcend the dimensional barriers and allow them to combat Nightmares for the sake of keeping peace between all worlds. Under the guidance of the Dream King, Dreamers from all over the world unite to fight this battle, and lucky for you, you happen to be a gifted one as well. Now you know the story, Dreamer. Will you join us?

EXTRA INFO
____________________

Dreamcast: The reality where Dream and Nightmare Espers reside. It functions as the "Earth" of the Espers, where they all co-exist, Dreams and Nightmares alike. The planet itself is split in half, with half going to either side.

Outercast: The reality we live in. Needs no further explanation.

Inertia: The "melting pot" of the two realities, where the Dreamcast and Outercast mix together. When humans sleep, their subconscious drifts into Innertia, and when they make contact with a Dream or Nightmare Esper, the successions known as Dreams and Nightmares are created.

Espers: Espers are the inhabitants of Dreamcast, and are either good, Dream Espers or bad, Nightmare Espers. Espers generally have two forms, their "Pure" form which is their shape from conception, and their "Human" form, the form they take upon mastering the ability to transform, which is typically after they find a human partner.

Dream King: The ruler of the Dream Espers and the strongest Esper in Dreamcast aside from the Nightmare King. A new King is crowned when the old one passes away, and due to their long life spans, Kings are crowned roughly 100,000 years apart from each other. The current Dream King, Lorei, is a woman who stubbornly refuses to be called Queen, though nobody knows why. She is very smart and very kind, but has a bit of a temper too.

Nightmare King: The ruler of the Nightmare Espers and the strongest Esper in Dreamcast aside from the Dream King. Unlike how the Dream King is crowned, the Nightmare King is crowned by killing all other Nightmares after the title in a gruesome battle. The next King is the one who kills the previous King, so the title changes hands a bit more often that the Dream King title does. The current Nightmare King, Nero, is an arrogant and evil man who is a notorious sucker for pretty women. He is ruthless in battle despite his perverted nature, and is just as cunning as Lorei.

The Zera Seal: A seal created by "The Creator" that seperates The Dream, Nightmare, and Human worlds. This seal prevents Dream Espers and Nightmare Espers from directly fighting each other. Legend has it that it has another purpose, but nobody knows if that's true, or what that purpose is.

The Creator: A mysterious being who was responsible both for the creation and the seperation of the three races. Their whereabouts are unknown. The Creator was said to be tall, of a slim build, with flowing white hair, and their origin is also unknown beyond an unreadable book known to most as the "Acrilyph", in which it is theorized The Creator told their story. The Acrilyph is written in a language unknown and currently unable to be decoded by anyone in the billions of years it has existed.

Name: Levis Stein

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance: Pic

Personality: If one could describe Levis in one word, it would probably have to be awkward. His family background kept him home schooled and away from other children most of his childhood, making him awkward with people and conversations. He's a rather shy, quiet kid at first due to not knowing exactly what to say or how to go about it and due to that many peers of his think he's simply a quiet person in general, but once you get him going about music or food he can run his mouth for hours upon hours on end with no stop button. He's rather compassionate and understanding for his background of social isolation, but his social awkwardness keeps him from ever really knowing how to help. He's very easily flustered in large crowds and especially around girls, and when he's nervous he pulls down his hood and hides his face in his hair. He cares deeply for others, especially his friends and even his family, and when it comes to his instincts, he can briefly overcome his shyness and act with tremendous bravery. He is bad with confrontation and sticking to the point, and can be easily distracted.

Backstory: Levis grew up the youngest sibling of three to the corporate figurehead Stein family, responsible for most if not all of the "Aud-Wave" technology in the world, an innovative technology using a rare mineral know as "Audinc" which his father and leader of "Zephyr Industries" discovered during one of the first expeditions to the planet Mercury. His father would use this metal, which proved to be the next step to human evolution, to revolutionize the world as we know it, establishing things like flying cars and hoverboards and digital interfaces on just about everything we own. Being such a busy man and having such a busy wife, whom doubled as an actress when she wasn't working with him, they seldom had time for their children, a fact which hit Levis the hardest of the three kids. The firstborn, a boy named Alexi, simply became very independent and thrived in isolation, working on science and reading and became the clear inheritor to the company. The second born, a girl named Solice, became the outgoing and friendly middle child, often being who the family chose to be the poster child for the Stein family and how "connected" they were since she inherited her mother's ability to be a terrific liar.

Levis became socially awkward and withdrawn due to living the most sheltered life of them all, never going to a public school or leaving the house without his parents, always being handled by caretakers and the like. His parents never really showing him an ounce of love or attention ate away at him as he saw how his siblings would be praised for what they could do and he could never seem to get their attention or make them proud at all whatsoever, and this drove him even further into lacking self confidence. The final straw broke the one time his father payed attention to him, bringing him with him to work since the caretaker scheduled for that day was ill. There was a lab accident due to Levis touching something he shouldn't have and it led to a long, deep scar being made across his back, that his father chose to not heal as a reminder of "What a fool he was". Now Levis receives nothing but occasional scorn from his father, who became even more bitter after the passing of Levis mother from a stage accident only a month after the lab one. Nowadays the Stein household is one that is fractured, quiet, and scary, as everyone walks on thin ice, especially Alexi, who's only real connection to the family-his mother, whom he bared a strong resemblance to and who actually said she loved him at some point-is now gone.

Dream Ability: He can generate and manipulate electrical energy currents through his body and the surrounding air, even potentially becoming a body of energy himself for speedy travel if need be.

Name: Paras

Appearance: Pic

Personality: Paras is an easily excited, easily entertained, goofy, childish girl with a humongous sweet tooth and a sweet attitude. She's known for being very bubbly and physical, often expressing herself via punches or jumps or runs or just being very facially expressive. She wears her heart on her sleeve, always being clear about how she feels, and she's a real motor mouth, always going on about every little thing given the chance. Due to her goofy, bubbly, pun loving demeanor, it's easy to forget that she's also extremely intelligent once she wants to get serious. She can switch from clueless to genius on a dime, and when she's in her "serious mode" can be very intimidating, despite her not being the tallest of espers out there. She's super friendly and caring and loves all her friends dearly, and has an odd obsession with romance novels. She's not quick to anger at all, in fact she's very understanding and patient, but once you push her beyond her limits she's absolutely terrifying.

Ability: She can create "Pulse Fields", or fields of energy that can push, pull, restrain, or deflect solid or energy based projectiles/people. Also, while not an actual ability, she has exceptional intelligence despite her childish personality and is a wizard with technology.

Backstory: Paras was conceived recently for an Esper, around the same time Levis was born, making her 16 in human years. Like most Espers, Paras was assigned a Dreamer to partner with and much like she is now, was excited when she was partnered with a girl by the name of Tara. Tara was a brave, honest, and kind girl with a rare ability to wield raw dream energy, not nearly as efficiently as the King herself but along the same line. Tara and Paras would become close and ultimately become a very formidable team, like sisters on the battlefield. But one fateful night, while combating a still at large Nightmare known to Espers and Dreamers as "Penguin", Tara would end up nearly murdered at the hands of Penguin, saved only by Tara, who sacrificed herself to the Penguin's last ditch effort to escape the duo and ultimately died doing so. This loss would send Paras into a long state of depression despite everyone saying that Penguin wasn't expected to be there and that they couldn't have done more than they did. After a period of time, Paras was forced to go back into work and was given a new partner, who would eventually become unable to continue fighting as a Dreamer following a mission gone wrong.

Paras was again partnered up with someone new, now with the reputation of being bad luck, and this time actually managed to remain with this third partner for a long time, until this one, a boy named Heller, turned to the side of the nightmares, abandoning her after she finally opened up and got close to someone again. After this third and final failed partnership, Paras went on hiatus from partnering with Dreamers any further, opting to stay alone. Dream King respected her desires and has yet to reassign her, and years later, despite seeming okay on the surface, Paras doesn't let anyone in and refuses to partner up again, unable to bring herself to trust herself or anyone else in that way. She's still her fun loving self, sure, but when it comes to her scars on the inside, she seldom lets anyone get very close to her heart.

Name: Blaise Holland

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Appearance: Short, pale skinned, waist-length red hair, green eyes, bony

Personality: Often quiet, often stays to herself. When comfortable, she's very open and talks a lot and will talk about anything. Trusting to a fault and often fails to see bad intentions from somebody.

Backstory: Blaise practically grew up in the foster system- she's been in it since she was five. She's been in eighteen different homes in twelve years and counting. When she was twelve, she moved in with the Pulus's, which was her first home with other kids. There, she had two foster siblings, Lillian and Clark, who were both younger than her, but Lillian was only a year behind. After bouncing from home to home, Blaise never really got to make friends, but Lillian was her first actual friend she can remember. The foster parents, however, were extremely abusive to all the children, but mostly their own. During a fight between the whole family, the father took a knife and threw it at the three kids, but aimed at Clark. Blaise shoved him out of the way, but ended up getting hit and now has a long scar across her left rib cage. After that incident, she was removed from the house.

Five more houses, and Blaise ends up at the Cook's when she just turned 16. There was also a son there named Clay, who was 18. Blaise befriended him quickly and it was her favorite house so far with nice foster parents and a nice foster brother. However, as Clay and Blaise grew closer, he started making advances towards Blaise that she rejected time and time again. On the night she turned 17, Clay took advantage of her and made threatened her into promising not to tell anyone. She still lives with the Cook's.

(Holy moly, I took a nap at like 3 and woke up the next day lmao Sorry, I'll start it up now if that's fine)

"Hey, um, Dad? I was, um, maybe thinking that it might be a good thing if I.....Ugh, this is so stupid." Levis sighed heavily, flopping down into his bed and staring up at the gray tiled ceiling of his bedroom, blowing a few stray dreads from the front of his face. He'd been pacing his room for hours back and forth, rehearsing this same little question he planned to ask his father next time he was home, which wasn't too often. But he knew that his Dad wouldn't be working today, meaning they were in the house. Meaning today might be his last chance in a long while to ask him the same question he'd been meaning to ask for several years now.

"Would it be alright if, um, if I went to a...public school this year?"

He'd been wanting to go to a public school ever since he was little, he'd always see kids in full classroom on television shows, he saw how they had friends and bullies and teachers and homework and so many other things he hadn't ever had to deal with.He hadn't interacted with a kid who wasn't related to him before, save the children of his tutors on occasion, and even then they rarely talked much. He'd done his research on public schools, especially high schools, and he really, really wanted in. He wanted to go to Homecoming and Prom and get group projects and hate the popular kids and have a really cool teacher, or even a really bitter mean one. He wanted to make friends and enemies and find love in some long, bustling hallway after he picked up some innocent, clumsy girl's books or something, like he always saw on television and in the movies. He wanted to feel alive for a change.

But every time he tried to explain these feelings and desires, he would lose his nerve and crumble in the presence of his steely eyed father. The man held some level of hate towards him, he could feel it. Why? He had no clue, but the coldness and occasional loathing that seemed to roll of his father in constant waves was enough to let him know. It was probably an awful idea to ask him this, he'd just scold him again, call him an idiot and send him back to his room, telling him something like "Public school is below a Stein, Levis. You should know better than this." Yeah, he probably wouldn't say yes. He was better off not asking. He was better off being quiet, he always was, now wasn't anything different.

But....

Frowning in frustration, Levis turned over so he was face down in his bed, groaning into his pillow and letting his mop of hair flow all over his pillow. He knew it was a horrible idea, but he had to to try, he just had to. He wanted this so bad, it would be wrong for him not to at least give it an honest effort. The worst he'd get is a scolding or room-arrest, which he practically did every day anyway. He'd never get anything in life if he always talked himself out of it. He needed to do this, he needed to try. There was no other way he'd get into a public school.

It was now or never.

((hahah hopefully it was a good sleep though))

It was 3:00 in the morning when the front door of the Cook's house shut softly behind Blaise. The lights were all off in the house, indicating she actually got away with it. Blaise had always tried to be a good girl for fear of being kicked out of another house, but after living with the Cook's for so long, she finally got the courage to sneak out for the first time.

Blaise stood in the corner between the front door while taking her shoes off, despite not being able to see anything. She stood up straight, but was immediately pushed back into the corner.

Her foster brother, Clay, who was nearly a foot taller than Blaise, stood directly in front of her trapping her in the corner. She shook his hand off his shoulder and he placed it on the wall next to her and began to laugh.

"Sneaking out, are we?" Clay asked. Blaise could feel the smirk on his lips.

"More sneaking in, actually," Blaise said quietly, looking down at the floor. She could feel her heartbeat all the way in her fingertips and through the rest of her body.

Clay moved his hand from the wall, causing Blaise to jump and him to snicker, and placed two fingers under her chin, forcing her to look at him. "What would Mommy say if she found out her perfect angel wasn't so perfect after all? Hmm?" Blaise smacked his arm to get him to let go of her chin, but his arm didn't move. "Are you scared she'll send you back into the system where you belong?" The air was suddenly sucked out of Blaise's chest and her eyes began to fill with tears at the thought of being sent back. She hated Clay, she did, but she loved her foster parents more than anything. She couldn't imagine going back into the system and into another new home that wouldn't like her.

"Why don't I tell her?" Clay threatened. He let go of her chin and turned his head towards the stairs.

"MOM!" Clay yelled as loud as he could. Blaise covered his mouth with her hand as quickly as possible and stood there for a moment waiting for any sound of movement upstairs. After a few moments of silence, she uncovered his mouth.

"What do you want?"

"Your savings from work?" Clay responded, not even pausing to think about it.

"You're kidding." He wasn't. "Clay, that's the only money I have. That's how I'm going to pay for college," Blaise protested.

"I'll yell again," was Clay's only repsonse.

"Fine. Here." Blaise handed him her wallet that had all her money in it. "I swear, you take everything from me."

"You're right," Clay said. He placed his hands on her hips and pushed her back into the corner. She immediately put her hands on his shoulders to keep him away as much as she could. Clay still manage to lean in, just centimeters from kissing her. "I do take everything," he whispered, sending a chill though her body. He leaned back and let go of her and went upstairs to his room with her wallet. Blaise stood there in the corner frozen for a straight minute before going upstairs herself.

She couldn't wait to get back to school and away from Clay.

(I suck at replying tbh, I'm sorry)

"Okay, this is it." Levis sucked in his breath, hand gripping the doorknob, steeling his nerve. He was going to do it, right here, right now. He could vaguely hear the sound of heavy footsteps outside that could only belong to his father. If he didn't ask today, he'd be stuck like this forever, getting private tutors and trapped in this god awful house. He had to do this, and he had to do it now. He gripped the door handle tighter briefly, before his grip loosened entirely. What was he supposed to say? How was he supposed to say it? How did he lead off? What if something went wrong? What if his Dad was busy with his brother or sister? A million and one questions flooded his mind and Levis backed away from the door. He couldn't do it, he couldn't go out there and stare his Dad in the face. He'd melt. He'd fold. He'd collapse. There was no way...

But...

Levis sighed heavily. He'd been going back and forth all week, determined to do it one minute then absolutely terrified the next. He needed to go for it, right now. Before he could talk himself out of it again. Walking back up to the door, Levis once more gripped the cold handle, hand trembling. He was going to do it. Right here, right now. No turning back, no second thoughts. Finally settling himself, Levis started the twist the handle...

And then everything faded to black.

And then...white?

And he was in the air.

And falling.

Fast.

(( haha apparently I do too, sorry randomly got super busy ))

4:53 am.

Blaise watched the patterns on her ceiling as if they were moving. Maybe she should let Clay turn her into her parents. Then she would finally get away from him. Maybe she would go to a new home with siblings like Lillian and Clark, but also have parents like the Cook's. Maybe she could finally live in a home where everyone already there treated her like she belonged. No, deep down she knew that was too good to be true. Maybe this home was the best she would get, maybe this was her "miracle story" that all the foster kids talk about. Maybe she wasn't destined to find that forever home with great parents and siblings who really act like your best friends, and a family to come back to on the weekends when she goes to college. Maybe she won't have a parent for her future spouse to ask their blessing. Maybe everyone will run away from the poor foster kid for the rest of her life just like everyone always had.

Blaise must have fallen asleep at some point because now she was dreaming. It was one of those falling dreams where right before you hit the ground, you wake up.

She was falling into blackness and faster than she's ever felt. But she couldn't feel where the bottom was or how long this would last.

And then the blackness turned to a bright white, but she still hadn't found the ground.

(I didn't even see this! I'm sorry lol And it's fine, it happens)

(Side note, this got way longer than I planned on)

"OhmygodwhatishappeningwhyamIfallingsomeonehelpmethisdoesn'tmakeanysenseohmygodohmygodOHMYGODI'MGONNADIE!&quot; Levis was screaming words faster than his mouth could form them as he found himself fast falling down an endless, white abyss, no ground in sight. His eyes were hardly open, squinting against the air pushing at his face as he shot down like a rocket. He was breathing hard, harder than he thought he even could, his heart seeming to literally graze his chest each time he inhaled. He was going to die. Either this was an insanely realistic dream or he was now falling and one way or another he was going to die when he hit the inevitable earth.

If earth was where he even was, not like he knew what was going on in the slightest.

He brought his arms over his face, attempting to shield himself from the wind pressure, which didn't perfectly shield him, but helped nonetheless. He was still falling, and nothing seemed to be changing. He didn't feel any closer or farther to the ground, nor did his surroundings change. He was still just plummeting down at what felt like light speed, no end in sight. After what felt like a few minutes of falling, his heart slowed down a bit. He could think now, albeit with the constant worry of when he'd hit the bottom of this fall. He'd been in his room, in his house, preparing to open the door, when he suddenly blacked-whited-out, and into this fall. How could this have happened? He didn't pass out, he wasn't even woozy or tired beforehand, if anything he was wide awake and panicked, no illness whatsoever. So it probably wasn't some hyper-realistic dream.

Well, if you could call falling down an endless white void realistic.

So examining his options, what could be going on? He could be being abducted by aliens. Maybe he'd been getting experimented on and an endless fall was a simulation or result of whatever aliens would use to knock out a human for testing. Although he never left his house, so aliens would have had to do a lot of work to get to him, and being kidnapped by aliens to begin with felt pretty outlandish. Not out of the question entirely, but fairly outlandish. Levis closed his eyes, thinking harder as his face scrunched into a frown. What else could explain this? Possibly some kind of bio-terrorist attack on his home? He was a part of a rich family, so they could be the target of some elaborate home invasion tactic featuring some sort of drug or something in the air. He would never do drugs to know how it feels to be high or whatever, but maybe this was some kind of drug trip?

He paled at the thought. If he was drugged, he was screwed. His father would beat him senseless if he found out he was on drugs, even if not by choice. Assuming his father was okay.

Oh, no.

What if they weren't okay?

Images of his siblings and father, dead on the floor in puddles of blood flashed in his mind, and Levis could feel his anxiousness returning. What if he'd been the only one drugged? What if he was already dead and falling towards hell or heaven, or maybe even this endless fall was some sort of purgatory? What if his family was being beaten right now. Solice, despite being older than him by three years, was shorter and far weaker in terms of physical strength. She couldn't handle him in a fight, let alone someone with actual strength or some sort of weapon. Alexi was book smart and took judo, sure, but he'd probably lose to anyone with like, a hand gun or something. His Dad was a grown man, but he probably wasn't some secret karate master. He had security for a reason. They could all be taken by one or two guys with guns, they wouldn't last.

He needed to get back to them.

But what could he do? He was just....well, him. He was weaker and a much worse fighter than Alexi, and Solice could think way faster on her feet. If he showed up, he couldn't help them. He wouldn't stand a chance against anyone. He'd just die too, if he wasn't already dead now. He was just the disappointing child, the sloppy thirds, the one they kept hidden in his room and always sick for family dinners, the one they only mentioned in passing at interviews and the one nobody cared about when they had that really dumb reality show for a year. He was just Levis, nothing but a-

Collision. Head met shoulder, body met body, both bodies met the ground. Everything hurt, everything was spinning, Levis faintly heard a voice but the entire world felt distorted. Nothing was still, the floor felt like it was rocking back and forth, his hands were squeezing what felt like cotton? Nothing made sense, swirling stuff everywhere, he was on the ground. No broken bones? Maybe adrenaline. No answers, no clue. Just pain. Dizziness.

"Mvvvfvvvmhhdvvvv!"

What? Everything was ringing.

"Get the heck off'a me! You're really heavy, ya know?"

It was a girl's voice, maybe? The ringing stopped at least.

"HEY! I SAID OFF! STOP GRABBING MY HAIR YOU JERK! I SPENT ALL MORNING ON THIS!"

He opened his eyes again. His head was on someone's arm? And his hands were gripping their hair, and he was on top of them. He could definitely feel from the cushion on chest it was a girl. She was soft.

Wait.

Girl.

Oh, god.

Oh god, oh godohgodohgodohgod

I'm sososososos sorry!" He nearly screamed, propelling himself off of the girl in record speed and ending up sitting several feet away from her, his entire face glowing red. "I didn't mean to, um, I didn't, uh, I mean, I'm sorry I, I don't know what, I mean, I don't, um," He started rambling utter nonsense, looking away from the girl in pure confusion and embarrassment. He still wasn't sure what was even going on and now a girl was here and he'd fallen on her and ignoring how that should have killed both of them considering his velocity and everything, he was just very overwhelmed.

He felt dizzy.

Really dizzy.

Like, pass out dizzy.

Meanwhile, the girl was listening and staring at him blankly, totally lost and somewhat amused. She tried to speak, but he didn't even seem to be breathing so she hardly had time to interject. She was going to just shut him up the old fashioned way, knock him out(she could kiss him too, but she wasn't keen on kissing strangers), but before she could move, Levis seemed to knock himself out, collapsing onto the ground with a slight thud. The girl continued to blankly stare, lost as to what was going on, until she shook her head.

(Of course we'll have you! As far as character suggestions go, it's up to you really! Tobin(I think that was her name? I'm bad with names lol) was cool last time so a character in a similar vein, like the experienced captain character so to speak, might be cool, but also anything else, like another new dreamer to round out the team of Levis and Blaise(which I might be doing anyway since I have another character in mind) might work out too, it's up to you completely)

Name: Klaus Furia

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance: Pic

Personality: Klaus is a calm, stoic, and generally polite boy. He is a real gentleman, rarely if ever speaking out of turn, although he carries a bit of an ego. Klaus has a very passionate sense of justice and believes firmly in it, often going to extreme lengths for what he thinks is right. Despite being of a generally polite and calm nature, however, Klaus is also very calculated and strategic, often thinking of a million solutions for any issue he faces. He is often praised as a genius among his Dreamer peers and for good reason, as he is both talented as a fighter and brilliant as a mind, and he takes pride in both of these. His calmness also holds potential for unrivaled rage if his family is involved, and his flares of temper regarding the Furia family can lead to extremely irrational and reckless behavior.

Backstory: Klaus hails from the "Furia" family, a family that has for generations on end been known to produce the best dreamers of their generation consistently, with each generation surpassing the ones before it in terms of ability. The Furias were one of the first to truly delve into the inner-workings of "dream abilities" and how such abilities can be developed, and as such developed what is generally considered the strongest ability aside from the ones used by the Dream King and Nightmare King themselves, the "Flammes Vertes", or the "Green Flame". These green flames were passed down from generation to generation and it became a trademark of the family, to the point other dreamer and nightmares alike began to fear the Furia family's power. The Furia seemed untouchable for generations, until it all came crumbling down.

The Furia family was all slayed, murdered in cold blood by an organization of Nightmares known as "The Miseria", with Klaus being the sole survivor through pure luck of timing, having been been ill and taken to a hospital for emergency treatment the day his family was massacred. Only six at the time, Klaus swore vengeance on every last member of the Miseria, and spent nearly every day from then onward training to defeat them, perfecting the Flammes Vertes and becoming one of the strongest Dreamers of his generation. Klaus would develop into the calm, quiet, and strong dreamer he's known as today, with his burning desire for revenge only flaring up when the situation called for it.

At the age of ten, he went on his first mission alongside his partner Strix, and the duo would easily subdue their first Nightmare. At the age of thirteen he led a raid on a small camp of nightmares who were planning on attacking the capital of the Dream Kingdom and was successful again. At fifteen he began serious search into finding the Miseria, as they move quietly and secretly. And now he's praised as a prodigy, all the while holding the burden of avenging his family heavy on his heart. As "The child bathed in righteous flames", Klaus continues his search to this day, his vow to murder the Miseria as strong as ever.

Dream Ability: The Furia's prided legacy, the "Flammes Vertes", or "Green Flame". Klaus can conjure a green blaze in any form he so desires, for him typically manifesting in the form of flaming chains. These chains, depending on his temper, range from simply blazing heat to restricting the power of his opponent entirely.

Name: Strix

Appearance: Pic

Personality: Witty, playful, and a known trickster, Strix was often considered a problem child among espers. Her powers always seem to cause trouble, and she was never assigned a partner as she was never deemed ready for battle, leaving her to feel very useless and lost and develop self esteem issues, albeit very subtle. She's generally calm and cool, much like Klaus, although she is much more playful than the serious greenheaded dreamer. Strix also has a somewhat dark side, similar to him, almost akin to a voice in her head, that tells her "dark and scary things" and in extremely bad cases depress her or make her act irrationally. Klaus is apparently the only one that can stop the voice in her head, but when it isn't affecting her, she's perfectly fine.

Ability: "Blink", her ability to teleport instantaneously short or long distances using her "Warp pads", which happen to look like clovers. Totally wasn't her choice at all.

Backstory: Strix doesn't have a very deep or complex backstory. She was born and waited a long time to be assigned a partner. She was never "compatible" with other dreamers as she was too reckless and hasty and her powers never seemed to compliment anyone else's very well, and then Klaus came along and gave her purpose. As far as she is concerned, he can do no wrong, and she would follow him to the ends of the earth, as she was truly lost in the darkness, looking for worth, until he came along and gave her purpose as what she feels is his tool, his weapon to be used as he sees fit.

Dream Ability:
Revamp, Hue's ability to improve the form, structure, or appearance of parts of his body within the human limitations (or just beyond them) for three minutes at a time. The more he uses his ability after the three minute mark without giving it time to cooldown, the more of a strain it starts to take on his body. And the more strain his body undergoes, the weaker the ability itself eventually becomes, which is after a third or fourth use within the time span of twenty minutes.

Meaning, the more he uses Revamp in the span of twenty minutes, the weaker it comes until the drawback referred to as "The Burn" starts occurring to where the part of his body that is using the ability starts to let out a thick steamy smoke that eventually catches ablaze. The fire is able to burn him, but not in the manner that normal fire would, for it leaves no physical mark on his clothing but does on his body.

𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦:
𝕃𝕠𝕠𝕠𝕞 is a large shadowy grey and black Nightmare Esper with round, bottomless white orbs as it's eyes that illuminate dimly, it's mouth a nebulous of bristly shadows that open into a similar bottomless white as its eyes. It's body is somewhat of a humanoid shape, it's long arms a counterpart to it's back legs, which resemble arms themselves just as its feet are hands. Both sets of it's hands bare grey smokey claws that extend from it's hazy, yet somehow glossy fingers.
Spines of darkness jut from areas on it's body, most noticeably from it's head, back, neck area, and elbows.

𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺:
𝕃𝕠𝕠𝕠𝕞 could be explained most clearly as vile, cunning and cruel to all that it comes across. It never seems to speak much, yet when it does, it's words are malicious and deceiving. Not much is known about it directly, for those that have been unlucky enough to be lured into its domain have been slaughtered, Dream Espers, Dreamers, and Nightmare Espers alike.

𝘈𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺:
Lure, Revile, Abuse, Devour: 𝕃𝕠𝕠𝕠𝕞's ability is peculiar in completely ghastly fashion because of the fact that it comes in four parts: Lure/Paint, Revile, Abuse, and Devour.
The Lure/Abyssal Paint aspect of its ability allows it to draw in those within its vicinity with what they may desire the most at that moment, or a particular smell that brought good memories, or in a Nightmare Esper's case, power. False power. Or something that someone really needs. Everything that is used as its lure is false. These allusions are created from pieces of itself that it can paint into reality.
And then comes the Reviling, the aspect that allows it to toy with to toy with individuals by way of words, criticizing them in what would seem to be the perfect manner, break them down, shatter their morale with a ruthless verbal assault, belittling and mocking them.
Abuse comes after the pinnacle of it's Revile, in which it proceeds to do just that. Abuse. Whether it be physically, mentally, or emotionally depends on the individual and its preference. Usually it immediately becomes physical with other Nightmare Espers.
And the final phase, Devour, in which the 𝕃𝕠𝕠𝕠𝕞 proceeds to devour its victim, leaving them to plummet into a world of endless nightmares that dwell inside of it.

M'Oof, or Moe as some may call her.

𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦:
M'Oof is a 5 ft 4 1/2 Dream Esper with light blue skin and fish-like scales riddling her elbows and knees. Her hair is a greenish-turquoise and has the texture of seaweed, usually left into a ponytail in the back. Her eyes a butterscotch yellow, her ears are pointed with faded green tips. She's usually seen with a red scarf with a doodle of a squid painted onto. She's usually wearing thigh-high green shorts that compliment her skin, and black socks lacking their heels. At her waist, two fins stick out the side, and fish like tail with faded white diamond patterns extends from her lower back, small green-blue fins--similar to the ones that stick from her elbow--sticking from it. We she smiles, her teeth are like that of a sharks and pearly white.

𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺:
M'Oof is a rather bubbly individual with a taste for adventure that rivals her liking of grilled fish. Some would deem her a bit childish at times, however she is actually quite mature when she wants to be, especially when she has to become serious. She's rather cocky for her size, and rather quick to pick a fight when the time calls. She doesn't have many friends, but that doesn't seem to stop her from being herself and trying to make new ones. But this also doesn't mean that she doesn't get lonely.
Despite being someone who is capable of surviving under water, M'Oof despises large bodies of water. Because ironically, she doesn't know how to swim, which is something that should have been natural to her by logic. And she finds that rather embarrassing. She is curious about many things, and usually seeks to do research, which ends up with her falling asleep every single time. She's a sucker for learning new things, especially about the world that Dreamers come from.

Though cocky, she doesn't hold many regards for the Dream Esper Queen, or rather King, and tries to stick to doing her own thing after she and her first partner didn't work out too well.

𝘈𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺:
Pirate Splash - M'Oof's ability is what she calls Pirate Splash, which is the ability to make any surface splash like water in large waves, though the properties of said surface remain the same. For example, if she cannonballed into the ground, she could cause the ground to uplift and ripple like waves in water.

𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺:
M'Oof has always been one to wonder off after she was born, finding remaining in the same place a bore. But then it happened. She and her previous partner was tasked with fending off a Nightmare Esper that could take the form of an ocean, and to make a long story short, she was almost drowned to death, for she didn't know how to fend it off. But in the end, they had managed to beat it back. And shortly afterwards, she witnessed someone die for the first time. Ever since then, she's hated the oceans and seas and any other large body of water.

(( hey Cola! Glad to see you on here :) ))

After what felt like several hours through the fall, Blaise's mind was suddenly calm. It was the kind of calm that most people expect to come over them when they die, but she wasn't even sure if she was dead. It was the calm she felt right before passing out after being beaten by a foster parent. It was a calm unlike any other, a calm that was almost scary. A calm that can not be described, only experienced. A calm that made her wish the fall lasted forever.

And then she hit ground. Or something that resembled ground. Blaise honestly didn't know where she was, but it was definitely not her bed.

"Oh! There you are!" A small girl with golden skin and hair was floating towards Blaise. Floating. Where was she? "Hopefully I didn't keep you waiting long, I got a little lost trying to find you. I saw you coming out of the sky- I'm not very good at tracking things falling out of the sky at the speed of sound." Blaise just stared at her.

"Where am I?" Blaise asked the golden girl.

"Oh! You don't know? Why, you're in Dreamcast!" Gold Girl answered.

"I'm in what?" Blaise asked again, convinced she was dreaming.

"Time to go!" Gold Girl grabbed Blaise's hand and dragged her behind her to wherever they were going.

"Where are you taking me, Gold Girl?"

"Oh! I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Gemini, or Gem, whatever you feel like," Gemini answered.

"Alright, well I'm-"

"Blaise Holland. I know, we've been waiting!" Gemini cut her off.

"Where are we going?" Blaise tried again.

"To the Queen! ... King? Queen? King? Keen? Quing? To someone!" Gemini eventually answered.

"That was helpful," Blaise said to herself.

"I-it's not that we don't want you to, of course we would want the very best for you as your parent. But we don't think that that's such a good idea."

"I know but it's stupid though! I've been wondering why all of these years and now I finally get a chance to at least get some sort of answer. I can't just keep running away from this all of my life and act like it never happened in the first place. And besides, you promised me that I could once I turned eighteen."

"Hue," The short young looking woman with bleach blonde hair, that teetered on the edge of being white, sighed, rubbing her temple slightly as she closed her slanted brown eyes to think again. She knew that there was no convincing him this time. "Okay then. Okay." She said finally as she leaned her shoulder against the door frame and crossed her arms, vague wrinkles of worry scribbling across her forehead when her brows furrowed. "A promise is a promise, and I did give you my word that I would take you there. I just don't want you to be...disappointed, if they're not the people that you think they are."

Hue'man Wrights sat on the edge of his bed, plucking the strings of a ukulele gently. He lifted his head to look at her during her last few words and raised an eyebrow. "Don't worry. I can handle whoever the hell they are. It's not like my expectations are very high either." He shrugged.

The woman raised an eyebrow. "Huh. You don't seem as excited about this had I'd thought you'd be. What's up?"

"None of your business. Or actually it kinda is a lot of your business." Hue let out a sigh. "But it's nothing. I just want some resolve. And besides, not like you have anything to worry about."

"Why do'ya say that?" The woman asked, her eyebrows raising.

"Because, I don't think I'm gonna be goin' anywhere soon. I like it here." Hue'Maan said, giving the strings a soft strum.

A warm smile came across the woman's face. "Haha, one point for Claire Wrights!" She said, putting up two finger guns as if she were shooting them. "We'll get it over with then. We can go anytime you want to tomorrow."

Hue shrugged. "Sometime in the afternoon then?"

"Sure kiddo."

"Thanks, Claire."

"Mom"

Hue rolled his eyes, chuckling some. "More like sister."

"MOM"

"Alright then, mom."

"Great, if you roll those eyes anymore they're gonna end up rolling out of your head." The woman known as Claire said. "Just don't wake me up too early."

"I hope that means that I don't have to use the pots and pans again. You don't even sleep. You hibernate." Hue joked.

"Oh whatever," Claire laughed a little. "Alright, so I'm runnin' to the store to grab a few things, and I got work at nine. So if you head off anywhere, make sure you lock up and everything. Oh, and I got a new keycard for the front door since the last one they gave us pretty much sucked ass."

"Figures. The guy did only charge us like what, ten dollars and thirty-three cents. I pretty much thought it was a rip off from the beginning. I mean, who even charges thirty-three cents as tax? On top of that, the guy that made it was shadier than a bum with a suit."

"Hey hey, we said that we were gonna let the past be the past with that! Anyways, want anything while I'm out?"

Hue paused for a moment to think, plucking at the strings of his instrument absentmindedly. "A few bottles of water would be good. Ooo, and if you can, a breakfast sandwich from Hall's Breakfast Haul would be great. Don't care what anyone says, they're the new best. But I don't think I'll be going anywhere either, I still feel a little tired..." If he could call it that, that is. It was as if the world as he saw it was shifting in ways that it shouldn't have been able to, and before he knew it, his foster mother was gone and he was laying down, his ukulele resting across his chest. His eyelids felt heavy, a looming feeling that he was being drawn from his body coming over him. pitch black engulfing his vision.
And then, he was falling...

And falling...

And..falling...

Wait...falling!? His eyes shot open only witness himself plummeting through a sea of nothingness, and immediately he began to panic. "OhmyFREAKIN'GOOOOOOODD!!" That is, until the vast change from darkness and into a bright blank white, still in a state of falling forever. He could feel a strong gust rushing against his body while he was falling, and the feeling of not being able to slow himself down in even the slightest was terrifying. Whatever was happening now was all too confusing
And then suddenly, he found himself crashing into wetness, tumbling under water before he could catch his breath. The vivid features of color and blurry details painted themselves back into existence in one swift swoop.
His senses were disoriented at first, but as his dispersed thoughts gathered themselves back together, he saw the light reflective off of the surface above him and began to swim as hard as he could towards the top, a faint ringing in his ears.

He gasped for fresh air when he reached the surface, panting heavily with a few coughs in between. It took him some time for his vision to clear, and as soon as the blur cleared, his eyes searched around wildly. He spotted shore 10 seconds later, seconds that felt like time running out, and immediately started towards it.

shrriiiiiIIIG!

Before he had time to pull himself up to land, he found the point of a short, deadly sharp sword pointed inches away from his face. His widened blue eyes trailed up to meet the honey yellow, sharp then pupil bearing eyes of it's blue skinned wielder, a young woman, but one that clearly wasn't human.
