What cures depression?

Well right now i'm depressed and i need to know some things that will help.

Nothing cures depression except happiness. In other words, you can't really make yourself happy, something good has to happen to you. Have a friend there for you, maybe God will touch you, just hope for the best.

awww thank you thespikedturtle that was really sweet :') I mean i do feel really lonely right now and if a person came into my life i would change and be happy again, i just hate the single life :| it sucks! and i hope god will touch me, i really do, but thank you :)

I really wish I could give you a concrete answer, but this was something I wondered about myself.

You see, I had Depression during a good part of my Freshman taon in high school. It was like I lived in this morbid, dark world where the only thing that existed (to me) was pure stupidity. Alongside that, I had problems with my anger. I was angry at the world, and if someone did the slightest thing that set me off, I'd erupt.

My grades slipped, I gained weight, I even began to have headaches from all of the terrible moods I was in. I'd constantly pace around my house when I was tahanan alone and yell about how foolish the world was.

It was just terrible.

But I never knew what got me out of my Depression. My days began to get brighter somehow, my anger went away, and I developed a madami positive view on people and the way they act.

I guess the answer I could offer is this; Remember that there's always light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe it'll help if you could say to yourself what I used to think during my darkest points of my Depression; That misery such as this would eventually end. :)

death isnt the answer.. i had a friend that tried to kill herself only to live n b a vegetable.. now she has min mental capacity n is madami of a burden to her family then anyone can ever imagine.. i know they pag-ibig her n dont blame her but i also knowfrom the way she ended up, id rather just b sad n depressed.

 id say drugs but its only masking it. professional help is a crock too being that they r only basing ur diagnosis on their opinion.. n they rly dont know what u r thinking in ur head n only going sa pamamagitan ng what u tell them n how they percieve it. i think the best thing to do is to find some type of meditation or something, although it hasnt helpped me much.. its something others can try!

u knw when somthng comes up we always hav two options .. one's good and one's bad... u won't really know which one is right... but there will be a feeling of good or bad after u hav chosen ur option, depending on the answer u choose...
so the tanong u ask in depression is wat really caused it.. if u can reverse the cause then its solved.. if it can't be reversed.. then choose the correct path in the susunod step..
say for example, you hav a fight with someone in school, the susunod day, u'll hav two options, 1. ignore that person or just stay his/her enemy and try to hurt them... 2. say sorry and just ilipat on... so that u r relieved of all the tension like what will happen tomorrow and stuff... neither be like mga kaibigan or anything nor start being so close to them .. just say sorry .. and try to end it... (the fight was just an example.. there are far madami worse things that cause depression.. but seriously the choices are mostly the same... )
