Where were you on September 11,2001?

how old were you?

I was at school,in my segundo grade classroom so i was 7.I remember my teacher sitting their watching here little tv.and my mom tried to pick me up from school, but for secruity reasons they wouldnt let us out. All i remember is when going to daycare they kept saying, something about a train. So when my mom picked me up,she asked me what happened.i told her that s train crashed.she sinabi "no,planes hit the world trade centers and they collapsed".i really didnt understand at the time.but as years went on and we would have a moment of scilence during school,i understood it was serious.Till this araw i stil read books and watch documenteries on 9/11.I even read books on people who have Nawawala pag-ibig ones. Its been 9 years, and i dont think we should forget what happened that day.I think we should still have the moment of silence.Do you still have the moment of silence?
Where were you on September 11,2001?

A party. It was for a birthday party. Kiley was waiting for her father. Who was working at the World Trade Center. He died in it. So she never partied again.

For my best friend Charlie, she was at school with her mom voting. She went tahanan with her and they watched the news. Charlie still thought her father was alive. Jessi, her older sister explained everything and she was depressed until Christmas.

I was in my parents room, watching the crash in fascination. Sorry that the people died, but it's really not THAT big of a deal. Way madami people died in thee Iraq war, and do we have a araw dedicated to them? Noooooooo. And the Iraq war was AMERICAS FAULT. My guess is most people really don't care as much about foreign lives as we do our own, which is sad.

I'm sorry that you feel this way, but I had to comment on your answer. I'm Irish, and had no real connection with the 9/11 attacks. But I still mourn for those people who died and who's lives were affected. It's true we don't have any one araw dedicated to those who died in the Iraq war, but that doesn't mean they aren't remembered. I had no connection with that war either, and yet I still think of those people each night when I pray.

I agree with Emily. Actually Hundreds, or maybe even thousands a araw are killed. And thats madami serious than the tower is, Sorry pl. It was nearly ten years ago, about time to get over it? and madami killing happening every day, and nobody here seems to be sad about that! Exept me, I care about countries where people need HELP, NOT KILLING..

My first thought was I put on some sifi channel instead of the news. I went in to change the channel and while looking to see what channel was news I saw the susunod plane go into the other building. Before I knew it ...it was real life and I turned up the volume for everyone else to wake up and come to see that our country was under attack!!!!
We all had people there in New York and we were all on different phones trying to get in touch with our relatives. For almost the whole araw watching over and over what was going on... we finally got through to hear that our mga kaibigan and family were OK but they were involved with what was going on in New York!!!
So while I was in "Fantasy land" the real world was going to hell!!!!

I didn't understand until we didn't have school the susunod day.

A friend of mine had an uncle that worked there. He was running late that day, and when he looked up at the towers he saw the planes crash into it. I was mga kaibigan birthday party (that's right, she shares her birthday with 9/11). Her Mum called us into the living room and showed us the clip on the TV, the one with just one tower on fire, I think. I was only five, so I can't really remember all that well. It didn't really click at the time, but my family was on tuktok of the towers two weeks earlier on holiday, which is scary.

I don't remember much of that araw since I was only eight years old when it happened. The sad thing is that I never even heard about it until I was in the sixth grade! I mean, I never heard the teachers mention it in school and I never heard my family or my mga kaibigan talking about it. It was only until in the sixth grade when my teacher sinabi that to those of us who don't know about it, shame on us. Since I've learned about it I decided to look up madami stuff about it but I couldn't look at much because it seemed to painful, especially when I watched a video of it that was from a pedestrian's camera and looking at all the damage and thinking about all those poor souls I just couldn't look anymore :'(

I was at school and I was in first class, making me 7 aswell. Actually, I was only six, but almost 7. It was my granny's birthday, so when my dad picked me and my two brothers up from school we went to our local supermarket to buy her a present. We're 5 hours ahead over here, so it was three o' clock when we heard the news. I remember seeing the look on my dad's face, because he had a friend who was working in a building near the trade centre. Luckily he was fine, but it took dad ages to track him down. I couldn't understand why someone would do that, and I remember asking my dad why when we heard the news. He wasn't able to tell me.
For weeks it was the only item on the news, and I remember getting annoyed at it. I didn't understand why people didn't just ilipat on.
I witnessed that horrific araw from thousands of miles away but it still shaped my world. A few taon later I made mga kaibigan with a new american boy in our school: his uncle and three of his cousins had been killed on 9/11.
Every taon on the anniversary of that araw I sit and pray for all the people who died and their families.
At 7yrs old I didn't understand, but now I do. I get angry and cynical and depressed when I think about it and watch documentaries on it.
It changed my view on everything. It shaped my world, though I had nothing to do with it.
