I'm from PA, but I've been to New York a few times, so...

New York City is disgusting. I mean, it's nice for a visit if you're going to see a Broadway musical or going shopping or something for a short time, but the streets and buildings tend to be disgusting. Maybe it's because I'm just not a city person (though I pag-ibig San Francisco), but New York City is not my thing. And you're from Germany where everything's cleaner, so be prepared for a little surprise at how repulsive we Americans let our cities become. The people in NYC? They're alright. Some of them are those stereotypical rude business people, but a lot of them are super nice. :) I hate seeing homeless people, though. That's probably the main reason I could never live in a city like that... I'd be broke in a week because I'd give all my money to beggars. :/

Upstate New York, out of the big city, is beautiful though. The lakes and the mountains are stunning. I also like it because it has a lot of NYC's culture and historic value, but without the hustle and bustle of the city itself. I suggest that if you're coming to New York, you stay out of NYC itself and settle somewhere a little madami on the outside of it. It's much madami peaceful upstate, the people are kinder, and there's loads to do. :)

I live in New York City and I find it pretty interesting. The possiblies and entertainments are endless. There is always something going on here. I pag-ibig the Broadway shows, the shopping centers, and the parks. If you really are considering moving to NY then there are lots to considered like transportation and housing and stuff. Land over here in New York city is kinda expensive but its still accpetable. My mga kaibigan are all sick of New York and want to ilipat to a place like LAX or something but I pag-ibig it here.

nyc is coolio, right now theres a big heat wave going around there!
