Isn't this strange?

Well you see, I was watching an anime/manga named "Detective Conan", and I started to think how english names sound in japanese. So, there in the cast, is an american guy named James Black. I pronounce his name in japanese, which gave me " Jaymesu Baraku" Now here is a strange thing. Barack Obama, AKA 44th pres. of the U.S, is the first BLACK president. Now here is the strange part: the word "Black" pronounced in japanese, is "Baraku" which is actually pronounced as BARACK!!!! HIS FIRST NAME!!! HIS NAME IS BARACK, HE IS BLACK (THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT OF THE U.S) AND IN JAPANESE, THE WORD BLACK IS PRONOUNCED AS BARAKU AKA BARACK!!! Weird huh? Not only that, but anyway, who uses Barack as a first name? Yeah I know he is from Hawaii (he was borned there, right? am not sure where i heard that) but.....well. Don't take me wrong with this question. I kinda like Obama as a president, and I don't have anything against black people. But, isn't it a weird coincidence?

And why is it strange Obama is the first black president? A look at history will ipakita its not that strange. Plus he's half black.

I thought "kuro" is black in Japaneese?

But yes, that's a coincidence. Not very impressive to me, but still a coincidence.

Just to add, Barack isn't a Hawaiian name. It's a Hebrew name, an angloized version of Baraka. It's a name that was passed down through generations (His full name is Barack Hussein Obama II)
