What is a famous saying or phrase that has always confused you?

for me it'd probably be "I'll slap you into susunod week."

I mean I understand it I just think it's stupid. If you slap someone INTO susunod week then that obviously means you'd have knocked him unconscious to the point where he won't wake up till the susunod week. On the other hand if you threaten to slap someone TILL susunod week, they would be far madami compliant I'm sure.
