Is anyone here good with Algebra 1?

cause i need help on it badly
my whole assignment is about linear functions

i don't understand this:

The Standard Form equation of a line has the following formula: Ax + sa pamamagitan ng = C where A ≠0 and B ≠0

for an example of the problems i need to do is:

2x=y/3-4

it says to write the equation in standard form and give the values of A,B,and C

i just don't understand these. 2 pagpaparangal will be ibingiay if you can help this confused blonde out.

Don't you mean Ax + sa pamamagitan ng + C = 0

You just have to manipulate it so that its form matches Ax + sa pamamagitan ng = C.

So if you have

2x=y/3-4

all you have to do is subtract y/3 to both sides to ilipat it over. Then you get

2x - y/3 = -4

where A = 2, B = -1/3, and C = -4

Just because that's what standard form is. In Ax+By=C x and y are on the same side so you have to get the ibingiay homework equation into the same form.

2x=y/3-4

2x=y/-1

Add the "C", or -1, to the other side, so now it is positive

2x+1=y

Now you subtract 2x onto the other side, so now it is negative

1=y-2x

1 is the C

y is the sa pamamagitan ng (B is 0)

-2x is the Ax

Final: -2x+y=1
