Why Is "Facebook" So Popular??

I don't go on Facebook but some of my family does and they enjoy it. I guess so they can contact others, especially other family members whom we never seen for a long time. My mother loves going on Farmvile. But I have no interest in Facebook what so ever.

Well I mean....it's not supposed to be an exciting site xP

As a whole (not for myself, but many others) the reason why people like Facebook is it is a way of being noticed, getting recognition, getting 'likes' and for some reason value their worth based on how many people 'like' what they post.

I find that sad, so for me, the reason why I like to use it is for 3 reasons:

1. Keeping in contact with my friends, especially the ones who have moved overseas.

2. Being updated with my uni class, we have a page for our course so we can let each other know stuff that might be happening, deadlines, extensions etc.

3. To be updated with kpop news from all the kpop pages I follow.

I use it and I like to keep in contact with my friends/family. And I guess I enjoy posting pictures on there and seeing what other people most.

For me personally it's the only way I can talk to some people. Others pag-ibig it for the games. It's different for people.

I have mga kaibigan from all over the nation, and it is a lot easier to message them on facebook if I want to engage in a casual conversation than calling them. Their facebook magpabago also allows me to passively have an idea of what is going on in their lives.

I also follow a lot of political facebook pages, like 'being classically liberal' 'guns and reason' and 'Barack Obama's dead fly'. This keeps me updated on kamakailan events.

Then there is the fact that facebook makes it a lot easier to stay in contact with people from church who I may need to contact once in a while even if I'm not mga kaibigan with them.

I use Facebook mostly for talking to my friends, since a few of them live far away. :3

It's fun to creep on my enemies and old ex boyfriends.... I mean I use it to keep in touch with mga kaibigan ^^'

I can talk to my awesome mga kaibigan and look up memes. I personally pag-ibig it.
