Why do fathers pag-ibig their children?

Mothers have plethora of causes for loving her child. Scientific reasons too But why should our dads feel the need to care.. Any scientific reasons? Or any other reasons?

I can't exaclty answer for any father as I am neither a man nor a father but why wouldn't any father pag-ibig their child? Sure there are some that don't pag-ibig their children and that is mostly because either they've never met their child or they spend very little time with their children. I guess all I can say is ask any father you meet or see and ask them why. Maybe they'll give you the answer you're looking for as I can't really give it.
