How about if you boyfriend/girlfriend breaks up with you? Or says "I hate you" and means it? Then it would hurt you. And those are just words.

WTF does that mean? If you pag-ibig them, why would you want them to leave? That would just put hurt on the both of you. What if they can't come back? They want to but somehow they aren't allowed to.

Anyone who says "words don't hurt" has obviously never been hit sa pamamagitan ng a dictionary. It really hurts.

I don't think it means that you want them to go but you want what is best for them and you know you can't control them and so you just have let go, and hope they will come back to you if they pag-ibig you as much as you pag-ibig them.
