People going with the crowd on HATE SONIC is stupid

It seems like to me, ever since Sonic Boom came out, people are making fun of sonic everywhere i look.
These people make fun of sonic over and over, and bring up his worst games, as proof that sonic should die. (which, in my opinion, are only sonic boom games, and sonic 06.)
In my opinion, people are just jumping on the chance to make fun of something, anyone, because that's how people on Facebook, and other sites are. I should know. One of my best mga kaibigan is one of them
Now, your probably thinking, typical sonic nostalgia fans, when will they ever learn?
But i am hear to say sonic is a character with so much potential for greatness, and people I think should just lay off of sonic, and give him a chance to rise above his so called Bad year. Yes hes just a character, but there are other people who stand up madami for other characters.
Why not sonic?

Mustacheo Rants Why Sonic and the Black Knight has the best Sonic Story

When it comes to the Sonic games it is often frowned upon when discussing that of the plots. Now while there have been quite a few Sonic games that were enjoyable story-wise, each one had one problem or madami that held it back in some regard.

~Sonic Adventure had a very interesting and lore-filled story which even dived into the culture of Knuckles’s ancestors, and gave us our first 3D Super Sonic. Unfortunately it was weighed down sa pamamagitan ng its execution, and various pointless characters and/or scenes.
