I paced the kalye angrily. Where was that clock salesmen? Time was ticking out faster and faster on Chloe, and I could feel it. I paused as a young gentleman on the kalye came to talk to me.

"Excuse me young lady," he sinabi politely. "Is there something I can help you with?"

I shook my head. "No, sir, I think I've got this handled."

The man seemed stifled. "Maybe I worded that wrong. Do I know you?"

I laughed. Was he trying to get to know me? "Probably not. I go to the college on fourth street. It's just...I'm looking for somebody. I believe he sells watches here?"

The man truly seemed puzzled....
