I swear everytime I watch your show I am in tears. I wanted to take a second and THANK YOU!! for all you do. I would like to tell you my story and ask for your help if I may. it all started out great! I had a great job at a law firm making good money. My fiancée and I got a car and we found a house that we fell in love with. At the time we were living with a friend and her kids we have bad credit, not much money no family we could live with with no other option but to. livew/ a friend. So, we found this house gave it a shot and sure enough our prayers had been answered! So here we were, I had a great full time job we had a car and finally after 2 1/2 years we finally had a place of our own to call home! Sure enough after being here for about 3months our car broke down I lost my job. I haven't been able to find a full time job yet and now we're bound. To loose our house in 30 days w/ no where to go and with very lil money. I've never had to ask for help nor have I ever been in a situation where I'm about to be homeless .... so I ask PLEASE ellen is there anyway you can help me and my fiancée out... w/ anything. First of all I Love your Show. You are truly a person to be admired. It takes me away from my worries & troubles. I am 73 years old, I have 4 children. A couple years ago my Sister came down with throat cancer, & moved to her lungs, She Just died 2 months ago. About 2 months after my sister was diagnosed, my husband also came down with throat cancer, he went thru 2 months of radiation ..That left his whole neck raw & blistered. About 2 months after my husband was diagnosed my nephew was also diagnosed with throat Cancer, Then Last October our Daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer with some in her bones. She is so strong. I also have my own problems with a very bad back, and 2 bad knees, so I am not much help for her. She needs a car that is an automatic, as a stick shift hurts her shoulder to drive. I would love to get her one, but we are both on Social Security, and we are barely living day to day. I would love to have a car for her to get her back and forth to her Doctor Appointments which are 50 miles 1 way. Now her Daughter has come down with some stage 4 pre cancerous spots on her cervix. I'm trying to stay strong for all of them, but there isn't much I can do. Thank you for being so uplifting, and strong, and Happy.

I watch your show as often as i can and think you are not only entertaining and funny but compassionate and loving .I have 2 boys each a year apart. Don't you love it how every just asked you for money?! haha. Like i would love some freakin' money. Shit's tough for pretty much everyone in this day in age, but i'm not about to ask someone I've never even met... Life is hard and sometimes it's impossible to fix, but we all have to be grateful for what we have and to all the great people that all of us have in our lives. We have a lot more then Humans should have anyways. We've strayed so far from our paths. Barely any children go outside and experience childhood anymore. Their all inside on their fucking gaming consoles getting fat and arrogant. Learning how to kill (meaning the games) I only just got a computer and even that makes me feel guilty. I want to be on the land growing veggies and breathing real air and not being controlled by a television or other people saying i'm not good enough at things or not smart enough to go to uni to LEARN... Sorry i'm just heaps pissed at society :(

You also did a snapple commercial and you looked in you purse for you Grandma! I am writing you because my daughter is a wonderful young lady. She is a great kid that gets good grades. She helps out and doesn't ask for alot. She has an opportunity to go to France next summer of 2014. I however can not afford this because I am on disability. Her father wont even try to help, I know he couldn't afford it all or even half but he wont give any. I have watched this awesome woman fight for her life her job and family. She has bilateral breast cancer and so far had 11 surgeries. she's a working motherof 2 and a wife to a wonderful man name Frank Bernat who is unable to keep up with all the bills because he too have had some set backs with his health. and Gwen has been the sole provider for her family. not once have I ever heard her complain about anything. she her husband and children are a prime example of...through think and thin our love is what's important. They have (and continues too) come up against hard times in finances a house to maintain and two intelligent daughters to take care of who are still in scholl. She's so grateful for life and does not take it for granted even when she's in so much pain. I'm praying that you will be the angel, the good samaritan, the caregiver, the friend who can help her in any way you can. She's definitly determined to kick breast cancer butt!

Hi Ellen, I love your show and the giveaway Christmas present. I like the way you are out there it help people I know there are a lot of people asking for help. I'm not asking for me but my daughter and her family, We live in Florida and my husband and I purchased a Mobile home in 2007. Well recently the home started shifting and the roof began to leak and the house is now molding. She is paying the mortgage and insurance. But the insurance company will not pay for the damage to her home. Recently her husband was diagnosed with Scoliosis and can't work. They have 6 children living in this home and two are babies. They had people give us estimates to fix the home and they are talking over $50.000. We don't have that kind of money to help them. If we have to walk away from this home. My husband and I will lose our credit. We work so have to have good credit. We do everything we can to help them out but now we are at a loss. I know you have helped other in the pass. If there is anything you can do to help it would be helpful. They need to leave the house because the children are getting sick from the mold.

My momo was sick with Breast Cancer and my mom stopped everything she was doing even stop taking care of herself to pay more attention to get my momo back and forth to radiation so that she would feel better. I feel so bad seeing my mom crying all the times, because she's worried about how to pay bills and that we might get kicked out of our house because she doesn't have any money, and I feel so bad because she works so hard and she can't still make enough money to take care of us. she cries because we don't have food and when I tell her I'm hungry she starts crying, because she doesn't have the money to buy food , my mom's name is Francesca and she's 53 years old she has a v very bad depression, and she is real sick with other things. I've never seeing my mom happy because she's always worried about how to pay bills. mom was married 2 times ones with my dad and before that with a man named Angelo, I have 4 others brothers my mom is single now, and struggling again. we have no one to help us it's just me and my mom and to tell you the truth I'm really scared that we going to be homeless, by the end of this month. we already were homeless 2 times before and I don't want that to happen again. I'm going to tell you a little bit about my mom 's life well she came to the USA when she was 13 years old and grow up seeing her mom and dad fighting all the time and seeing my grandma getting abused by my grandpa , so then my mom was 18 years old she met this guy Angelo and they got married and had 3 kids well the all time they were married her husband was physically abused everyday and cheat on it to Angelo beat my mom up for 8 years and he also kept her like a prisoner she wasn't even allowed to go outside and get the mail. She finally diced to get a divorce , so when she did that she had to get a job and went back to school to became a nail tech so she would go to school in the day and go waitress in the night and she had 3 little boys who never sow they're mom because she was always gone to try and pay her bills, I know it was really hard for her because her kids were left all day and she missed them. Then after a while she met my dad and they got married and they had to 3 kids the first one was still born and then they're is my brother Randy and me. well again my mom was abused by my dad he was an alcoholic and a drug addict, so he would beat my mom up if she wouldn't give him money to go out, he sold all my mom jewelry for drugs , while my mom was working 12 hours a day to try and make rent and bills and food , but because of my dad bad habits she couldn't make it my mom and dad where married for 15 years during this years she became very depressed, also we were evicted out of houses about every 6 months to 9 months because my mom couldn't make the rent I remember we were evicted out of our within 3 months, that's when we became homeless 2 times once we had to go live with my aunt and once with my grandma, my mom finally divorced my dad in 2005 , then she met another guy name Mike and they got engaged and moved in together, so once again my mom was abused by a nether man, because he also had addiction to drugs and alcohol, she was with him for 10 years and then got rid of him during that time my mom was diagnosed with manic depression bipolar, she has to take lots of medication, oh she also have celiac dicese , so she has to eat all gluten free food, and I feel so bad because allot times she doesn't eat for days because she can't afford to buy gluten free food , anyways now we are in a real bad spot because my mom doesn't make enough money to pay bills or rent , so she sacrificing her happiness for me she asked her ex faience to move back in to help pay the rent and the bills, but it back fired because he's not helping again . I'm just so tired of not seeing my mom smile instead she cries all the times because of all the worries, I just want my mom to be happy for once I want her to have a nice place to li ve I want her to have a nice car I think it's about time she will be happy and take care of herself instead of worrying about everything . what made me decide to write to you is because of what happened last night while she was at work, here stress and I think her diabetes she started shaking real bad in front of her costumers and then passed out. Show and how u help people, I'm not ask for help just want some one to talk to,I don't have and one in my life,just my five kids which I love to bit with all my heart,in 2009 i have a heart attack,lucky to b here,die ad but Drs a brought me bk, iv had three other little ones scene then, had four stents put in to keep me alive ,on tablets for the rest of my as well,well I get to my story now,I got told by a friend last week that iv won a lottery,well I was so excited, never won any thing in my life,she had told me shed got her winnings,so I email the people that had my winnings, well it was true,well I thought so,they told me i won £80,000, and all I had to do was paid the $800,for fees,swellhipping and case files, I thought that's ok,so I paid that money in to a western union,+fees for then,any way I got back in touch with the people that had my winnings,they said ill have to paid more fortax and clearance fee, want $500,for that,so me beening me i paid that and more on western unions fee on top,well,so i got bk intouch with the people that had my winnings, they told me i had to paid more to get my winnings to my doorstep, they wantd other $1500, i told them i wasnt paying no more money,i went to my lawyers to c wag i could do ,but my lawyers just saic iv been SCAM,i coulnt believe it,iv just lost all my savings as in on a sickness befits, dont get much on that,i lost $1418,not happy,so i wdnt to my local police here in te-aroha, they told me i couldn't do anything as the money went to USA, so now iv got nothing fof my kids for xmas at all i fell sorry for my kids,i wish my friend was straight up with me,B...., well thank u for letting me rite to u,it fell good to till someone as couldnt till my kids,all i told them,that cant eford Xmas this year, I didn't like the look they give me,but wat could I do,well thank u again,lots of love trudie sheehan from NEWZEALAND,

Please read the following text messages from her:
I know I need some time to myself, but that is impossible. Rene works constantly
and is never home. We are barely making it now and if he asked for less hours we
wouldn't be able to afford anything. He's stressed and hates his job. He worries
about me because I'm so depressed. I never leave the house cuz the baby is so
much to handle and feel stressed. I usually will have to leave wherever we are because of his behavior in.
The kids are sad cuz we never do anything. And we have no family or
friends to do anything with or visit. I was so sick for almost a month so I didn't
get to do any of the hospital follow ups.
I have nobody to watch the kids. Andrew has therapy 5 days a week.
Sometimes twice a day. Kids have school. Need to be picked up different times at
different schools. Our van is messing up so bad now I'm scared to drive it.
We've almost crashed so many times or someone almost crashes into us cuz we are
constantly stalling out in the middle of the street. Can't get it fixed cuz it's
too much money and now as of January They raised our rent $100 more, so we need
to find somewhere else to live cuz we can not afford it. We are stuggling as it
is. Its just so much I feel like I can't handle it anymore.
The older ones I don't worry about as much. They practically take care of themselves most
days. Its andrew who can't be left alone for more than 2 minutes. He hurts himself and
us too if he's upset or stressed and I can't even think about leaving him with anyone
because they don't know him. They don't know what he is and isn't capable of.
His behaviors have worsened and even the therapist seem like they don't know
what to do when he is having his meltdowns.
I feel so overwhelmed, I have scary thoughts of not living anymore just so I won't feel
sad or stressed or depressed. Some days I don't want to wake up. I know that is selfish and something I know I don't want.
I just want these ugly feelings I have to go away, so I pray for strength to get my ass up and take care of my kids.
It's hard when it's one thing after another and I can never seem to catch a break.
I pray every day, we all do. I know I couldn't do it without him, that's why

She doesn't mention her husband almost died five years ago from leukemia just prior to finding out her
youngest son is autistic or losing her older sister to a heart attack. She's always been the rock in her little family
and she could use a break, some encouragement that's she's not alone.
She's my only daughter and I love her very much, but sometimes that's just not
enough and living so far away from her doesn't help.
So Ellen if you have any advice, any encouraging words could you please throw them her way.

Ellen, we have never asked for help. i was layed off at my job. then i found out i had to have open heart.alot went wrong and was in the hospital for 4 weeks. a week befor I went into the hospital my husband got his hours cut and pay cut, we were greatful he didn't get layed off it has been hard I am no longer working and fighting for my ssi. all i want to ask is my husband lost alot of his teeth and before my layoff I was going to make a dr. appt. for him. never happened, he does so much for me and helps me so much. and works so hard to keep our head above water and all i ask if you can help get my husband new teeth he always put me first and I would love to see him smile without covering his mouth. thank you

Ellen your show has gotten me through some really though times. 2001 I lost my husband and son. I was left with our multiple handicapped daughter. She passed away 2013 just 6 days short of her 30th birthday. What i dream of and wish for with all my heart is the $9800.00 for her funeral. It is long over due but I don't have the money to pay for it. It would mean everything to be able to pay this off. I have a partial roof the needs to be fixed as well as a few other repairs but that doesn't matter......the only thing that matters is paying off my beautiful baby girl's funeral. hi ellen, its me mona im from philippines, im 29 years old, i dont have both parents , i lost my mom last 2012 when i was 22 or 23 due to breast cancer, then i lost my father last 2014 due to high blood pressure. i just want to share with you mt story, back then when both my parents is still ok, we leave in a comfortable life i have 1 brother and 1 sister by the way im the eldest, my mother was a teacher, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer on 2004 back then i was still in high school, everything was ok that time because my father still ok,my mom undergo mastectomy or removal of the breast she undergo chemotherapy she was cancer free after 1 year. we continue our life i go to college my sister go to highschool my brother go to elamenteray,. 2008 my father got heart attcked he cannot walk nor talk that time, i was in 4th year college by that time, so my father lost her job by the way he is a local politician in our place,my mom worked for all of us, that time it wa stough to muuch expense on my fathers medicine too much money needed that time in my school . my mom did everything she have all the loans . but my mom still manage. she was tough. i finished college i take nursing borad exam i passed the exam , i work in the rural unit to help my mom in small small way. 2008 problem start my mom cancer re occur she did not tell anyone, because she was afraid with the operation, with the therapy and with the expense. 2010 i found first regarding the re occurence of her cancer, herl eft breast become worst, too much blood came out i dont know where it came from but when i open her uniform i found out. we rushed her to the hospital dr said it was already on stage 4 cancer, terminal stage they said they cant do anything,. my mothers friend to tell her to retire so she can still enjoy the benefits that she will get, that what she did, but the money she received was enough only for her medication, blood transfusion every other 2 to 3 days, we stayed in the hospital almost 25 days in a month, my father was sick olso, sometimes both of them is in the hospital. that time ii dont know what should i do, very big responsibility lies on me, i have still sister i have still brother. my mom told me many time to stay strong to accept whats happening because it was all Gods plan,theirs days when i thought i lost my mother, but she still keep on fighting although we knew she was in pain until 2012 she lost her fight she died, that time i dont know what should i do , i dont know where will get money to buy our food , monet to send my brother to school, my father still sick. that time it was very hard. by 2014 i lost my father. so i decided to work abroad, i flew to dubai, i work here to support my sister and my brother who is still in college right know. you ms. ellen what make me happy and strong that moment im watching all your vedios on you-tube,all the inspirational stories all the funny jokes all the hope your giving to other people, sometimes i was crying watching with your episodes sometimes i was crazy laughing watching you and ms sophia vergara. every time i felt sad i will turn on youtube and watch all over again those videos of yours. my boss will scold me bacuase i was laughing too much then he will asked me waht are you doing i will tell him im watching your vedios, he will asked me who is ellen, i will tell him ellen from america.. hehe thanks ellen love ypu from far

Hi Ellen. It seems the South African fans are not as confident in coming forward in asking for help as the USA fans. But here it goes... the help I would like is not for me but for an amazingly special family in George Western Cape South Africa. This family were blessed with a downs syndrome daughter Nikki 29 years ago. Mom, Jan along with another downs syndrome mom started a non profit organisation to assist with children with downs. They now run a school with boarding facilities called Up with downs. Not only do they teach the children simply learning skiĺsthey also teach basic life skills. Nikki and her friends make the most devine chocolate cookies to sell to raise funds for the center. They sew, make Christmas craft, and even have a little tea garden where invited guests are served by Nikki and friends. There is a single salon badin in the centre where you can have your hair washed and dried while getting your hands massaged. I was told that the staff had to volenteer for the first few washes as it ended up being more of a shower than just a hair wash. A local pizza place in George allow the centre to come in an serve guests. All absolutely amazing things they do but the one special thing that tugged on my heart strings was this. An American lady who has helped with purchasing propertyfor them runs a center where she collects and distributes goodies to the underprivileged children in SA, goodies like blankets in winter and Christmas parcels. Nikki and her friends pack these parcels with absolute delight for needy children. Downs syndrome sufferers are the most loving and happy people. Up with Downs needs your help. There are so many things to do from building the adult hostel to putting in a proper sewing room and hooded swimming towels ponchos. Hello Ellen this is very hard for me to do I never had to ask for help, but I feel like I have no other option.
We are the Latigona's my name is Linda and my husbands name is Anthony Sr. my sonAnthony Jr. Along with his baby's mother Danielle which is more like a daughter and there beautiful daughter Caylee. About 2 years ago we took the advice of 1 of doctors advised me that I really needed to move out of the state of New Jersey. I was also sick so one day we just did it. My husband moved to Arizona and 3 months later the kids and I were on our way. Things have not gone the way we thought we are struggling fiercely I'm on disability and unable to work. Tony works 3 different jobs and the kids work.we have been living without air conditioning for about month now in 115 degree weather. It really affecting my health more. We tried for loans help through our state and just can't get any. Also other issues keep coming up and can't catch a break. You are one of the kindest people I know, you help a lot of people and it's great. It is embarrassing to my ego to to this but I am hoping this gets read and maybe I can get some any help.

Hello Ellen, My name is Ellery Edwards and I’m writing on the behalf of my wife Sharon k. Edwards. She has one of the biggest heart if not the biggest against Anti-bulling, suicide, and domestic violence. She has worked with many organizations and spoking at many events that support those causes I just mentioned. Her big heart stem from both her experiences through what she had witness and most of all through her own personal life. Sharon have written a book title Action (A resource guide for ages 10-adult hood) against bullying and suicide. She has written a poem title (I’m Invisible), that is in her book.
After receiving an invitation to speak (on bullying and suicide) at one of her local middle school (Kenwood Middle) in Clarksville TN. Sharon being the visionary she is and always wanting the best for the kids and the community. She decided to make a short story out of the poem she wrote I’m Invisible. The poem is about her life story as a kid growing up and couldn’t see herself when she looked in the mirror. She was alive but felt invisible because of bullying in school. In preparing for the school event; not only did she produce a short film but also is the visionary of a newly release song, I’m invisible. She met with a song writer artist and asked him to come up with some lyrics that tells part of her story and others who might have felt invisible, bully by others, and thought about committing suicide.
Sharon has been during different events fighting against bulling, suicide, and domestic violence over the last six years locally and nonlocal out of her own pocket. Yes, buying and renting the necessity needed to make an event happen professionally. She is a person who don’t like to ask people for anything. She feels as though she is begging. So, this is why I’m writing on the behalf of my wife. She is always giving and hard for her to receive. I really don’t know how she going to feel if she finds out I even wrote this letter. She always volunteering her time. But when it come to her asking anyone to do something for her. She always pays them, including feeding all her worker who help her in an event she’s having.
My wife would be very upset with me if I was to ask for money. Because her favorite saying is “we pay our way”. So I am not asking for any money or any handouts. I’m asking if you would please take the time to read/view her book she wrote, the poem, the short film, the live performance I’mInvisible song at Kenwood Middle school, and allow me to send the published copy of the CD I’m Invisible. The CD has two songs on it (I’m Invisible & You). The song title You Is about: How each person is unique and created for greatness. There is only one YOU….No one can be you and you cannot be them. So why are you trying to be like someone else when others are trying to be like you. Stop trying to be like someone else and just be you. Welcome you, Welcome who you are. Because you were designed to be different.
Again, we are only asking you to take a few minutes of your time to listen to the Invisible movement and help us get the message out. We are tired of losing our youth to bulling and suicide/domestic violence. Also, we feel if very fitting for the month of October, being Bully and domestic violence month

My Wife Cindy is a devoted fan of your show, I enjoy your show when I get home to watch it with her. Six years ago I woke up to find her not breathing and started cpr. The medics came and told me they revived her but it did not look good, they sent a priet to talk to me. I drove myself to the hospital and at one point the doctor came to me and told me I should allow them to shut it down. i refused, i knew she was there and I went to sit by her, at one point she blinked her eyes, I called a respiratory over and he called the nurse. They eventually flew her and me to a major hospital and they put in a pacemaker. She continued to have incidences so we moved to a town tht had a heart insititute. Now her battery is getting to the point of needing replacing. We have some bills for sure but we fight on. What makes our battle easier is watching your show and watch you reach out to us. Continue what you are doing. We will win our battle and will continue to love your show and will always feel heart felt as you reach out to people like Cindy and myself . Hi Ellen, I am hoping you can help my little girls dream come true. 4 years ago my daughter at the young age of 20 passed away. She and my little girl Alyssa were the best of friends. As you can imagine Alyssa took her sisters passing hard and still grieves for her badly. Ever since at Christmas time Alyssa would write to santa asking for 3 things, To meet YOU, to have her sister back and for a horse. (Alyssa rides horses and takes lessons. Well this year sadly Alyssa no longer believes in Santa so no letter to him this year. Instead last night Alyssa said to me "mom since santa isn't real and I know you don't have money can you just get me tickets to meet Ellen? The rest of your money should go to Mason, Uriah and Bella" (mason, Uriah and Bella are my grandkids whose dad passed away 2 years ago and their mother doesn't see them. They live between my house and their fraternal grandparents house.) My little girl, Alyssa is so selfless and always thinks of others. I am on Social Security Disability due to a car accident which has hurt my back and I have had 6 spinal surgeries. Ellen please help me make Alyssa's Christmas great! .

Or can I ask help from you...My husband is a finishing carpenter or a cabinet maker and furniture worker here in our place for almost 25 years. So last 2016 we decided that he will apply as a Filipino Overseas Worker in NEW ZEALAND as prior to his skill. I borrowed money from the bank or I have my salary loan which we expend for his papers and his others needs for that application. BUT its too late when we discovered that he is a victim of illegal recruitment...But then on we don't lost hope..because until now I'm only recieving 4 thousand pesos or almost 100 US dollar a month for my salary because of my depth in the bank which can't sustained our daily needs .So I told him to keep on applying in different agencies in Manila..But sad to say he was disregarded because of the fact the applicants they hired are those who has experienced in the Middle East...My prayers Ellen that may I can ask help from you that you will help us to find a employer for my husband in New Zealand...I promise to you that my husband is really dedicated and hardworking person that you will not regret that you help us.

Hello Ellen !!! I would love to take the time and let you know about my wonderful daughter Zoey. She is an amazing mother of 5 beautiful children. She is a single mother that works two jobs to make end's meat and barely has time for herself and her children. She is barely getting by and just when she thinks she See's the light at the end of the tunnel then her car ends up with issues like (electrical , safety alarm and battery ) problems. Zoey always seems to be positive an upbeat despite all she is going through. On top of the car problems she has health issues as well and will be getting surgery sometime this year to have her spine fused together due to an a fungal infection that ate through two of her bottom disc's in her back. I just wish I could make her life just a little Easier but I am a poor lady myself but am rich with love from my family.

Hi Ellen. I know that you get a lot of stuff from Facebook, Twitter, etc. This one is one you really, really, really need to watch. I've watched it quite a few times and cry each and every time I see these ladies cheering up the Alzheimer's patients. IF you look at Shannon Gray Blairs post, it states about 23 hrs ago and she is from Lexington Kentucky. These ladies did all of this out of the goodness of their hears because they saw a need. I don't know if they just tried this for the first time or they knew that this would help? But PLEASE, look at all 24 pic and couple of video's of what transpired. Maybe fined out how and why they did this and help them and others to do the same thing in other states.

Hi Ellen, I absolutely love your show. I have been fighting cancer since 2015. I am writing you to ask for some help. I have incurable Cancer. It started out as breast cancer and spread from there. I found out I am allergic to chemo. I had 4 very strong rounds and then had 6.5 weeks of daily radiation. I am still fighting and always will. I am writing to you because my prognosis is in in the air. I had no clothes but thanks to my sister Lori and my niece Megan. Also I currently live in a small one bedroom apartment with my Dad and sleeping on the sofa is starting to kill me. I have to be out by May 1St because the landlord told my dad she would charge him an extra $100.00 that he cant afford. I have no car, no home, no money and no furnishings. I can not work, and disability denied me so no I am fighting disability. I walk with a walker. I have seizures and am also looking for a disability dog. I am afraid I am going to end up homeless. It is hard to find a ride to all my doctor appointments, I feel like a burden to everyone. Is there any way you can help me. I have no home, no clothes, no money, and no car. My dad is disabled and cant take care of himself. I am please for your help. I know you are bombarded but I am in a dire emergency. Please help me. I don't know what I am going to do. My prognosis is up in the air. This also gave me mental disorders and I take over 20 pills a day. I have no one to help me so I am asking you to please help me. I am the mother of a son that tragically died in a car accident at the age of eleven. My loss turned incredibly worse when I was informed that my husband was driving the car my two children and ALCOHOL was involved.
I was devastated, shocked and confused. I had no idea how to deal with the grieving process. I found myself slowly moving through the four phases of grief without knowledge of the importance of each phase. With a lot of help and counseling I finally figured out that my future could give me a pleasant life even if the pain was tattooed forever on my heart. I feel uniquely qualified to write a book about my long struggle with depression and grieving. The book is titled ELEVEN TO HEAVEN. I would like to share my story and reach out to anyone suffering with depression that they feel like the depression is so black that they are afraid of LIFE. Depression is still not accepted by society and people are afraid to talk about it even to their family. I know I hid it for 25 years. It was a horrible place and predicament to be in. Hi Ellen my name is Trudi writing you from Jamaica I just wanted to say thank you for being an inspiration in my life you have been a constant for me I love watching your shows at least what I can I don't have cable so I go to youtube and watching videos of your show has really been a huge part of my day to day life I aspire to be like you I want to be able to give back to others and I want to be able to ensure that my parents have everything they could ever need as they sacrificed everything they had to send me to school but I was struggling with a lot of things and for two years I was going to a community college to pursue a career in social work because I want to be there for children and people in general who has the same struggles as me to let them know that there is someone there for them even if they don't believe it, because my parents sacrificed everything for me and I was failing terribly I decided to take a break from school and try to seek employment so that I can finance my way through school because I don't want to go through the whole long process of student loans, the search for jobs have been futile thus far but I have you and my boyfriend there for me, you guys give me the courage I need to push forward and for him to always be positive even with the struggles that he faces at work is truly remarkable when he has had a bad day at work he would come home and say "you know that I got you right, were gonna be stars and were gonna be rich" he always stays positive and I cant thank him and you enough for being there.
