I fell down on my knees as my sister continued to kick and cuss at me. I had accidentally dropped a plate and my sister was furious. I tried to run away, but she grabbed me sa pamamagitan ng my hoodie and swung me across the floor. At this point, enough was enough. Thank God she swung me near the door. I ran out the door as fast as I could until I was far away from my house. My parents had died when my sister turned 18, so she was my legal guardian. I ended up going to my paborito oak puno with a ugoy attached to it. As I sat on the swing, the sun shined and I felt the warmth on my face as I closed my eyes. It felt really good.
"Enjoying the sun, huh?" sinabi this voice. I opened my eyes and there stood this handsome, green, and gray-eyed boy with a smile on his face.
"Oh- yeah, I guess," I sinabi a little nervous.
You turned around to get a better look at the boy and his face went from a happy one to a concerned look.
"What happened to your face if you don't mind answering," he sinabi a little mad and sad.
"Umm... my... my sister hit me for breaking a plate," you sinabi rubbing your stomach and starting to cry.
I could tell this boy was very angry. He looked like he wanted to manuntok something, but he took a deep breath in and calmed down. Once he realized I saw crying, he crouched down and wiped off my tears.
"He everything is gonna be alright," he sinabi calmly stroking my hair. "Don't cry, I don't like it when girls cry"
You wiped the rest of your tears and asked, "What's your name?"
"Ponyboy. Ponyboy Curtis" he sinabi sounding confident as if he really liked saying his name out loud.
"Ponyboy," you whispered to yourself. "I like that name," you sinabi with a smile. "I'm Sarah".
"I like that name," Ponyboy sinabi with a smile.
There was suddenly an awkward silence. Ponyboy and I were just staring at each other, smiling. Then Ponyboy broke the silence and said,
"So, Sarah, are you ok now?" he asked slowly.
"Yeah, I'm fine now," I responded. I then sat back on the ugoy and the sun was setting. A nice pretty purple, blue, and kulay-rosas sunset filled the sky. I looked over a Ponyboy whose eyes lit up when he saw the sunset.
"Wow that's sure pretty," he sinabi excitedly. Then turned to me and asked, "have you ever watched a sunset, Sarah?"
I've never watched a sunset, but I have most certainly seen one. The one I've seen was a beautiful kulay-rosas and blue with the warm sun with was and dark yellow. It was beautiful.
"I've never watched a sunset, but I've seen a few," I sinabi back to Ponyboy whose eyes were glued to the sunset. I figured I'd try watching the sunset too. As I was observing all the wonderful mga kulay of the sunset, Ponyboy mumbled,
"Wow, she really pretty,"
"Yeah, she sure is," I sinabi back to him without looking. Then I turned my head to face him and he was looking at me and chuckled.
"I wasn't talking about the sunset, I was talking about you," he sinabi with a smile on his face and planted a soft halik on my lips. I started blushing uncontrollably as we both continued watching the sunset.

Steve had come in, alcohol on his breath, swaying back and forth, not able to walk in a straight line.
“Steve, are you…” You start, but are cut off with a slap.
“Shut up, bitch.”
You sank to the floor in disbelief as he staggered into your bedroom.
And the tears ran down your face, and the hyperventilating began.
So here you were, lying on the kusina floor.
