The Vampire Diaries TV ipakita Did Damon actually notice there was something off about "Elena" or was he just in shock after the kiss?

My point is... given the many times he kissed Katherine, why didn't he notice it was her? The only thing I can think about is that he started to forget her (which makes me happy), but it's weird isn't it?

kissed her. It's weird that he didn't know it
was her, and plus, I don't really agree with
my answer now, because if he would have known
it was Katherine I don't think anything would

IMO he realized something was off/weird since the beggning, so he kissed her to test her, and then he ended up in shock because he proved it was actually Katherine.

I don't think he knew 100% that it wasn't Elena, but I think he realised something wasn't right afterwards, the way he was rubbing his lips.

so Thinking he's kissing the one he loved, clouds your thoughts of who your actually kissing. maybe he thought since he loved Katherine and is in love Elena, it felt the same...but then thinking about it..he was like or maybe not. that didn't feel exactly how I imagined.

I say..if we were fooled....why not Damon? for a mila-second. LOL
Damon knew something was up and yet most of us were still in aw of the kiss. LOL

I don't know if he realized it was Katherine, but, I think he noticed something was up, either the way she kissed him, or that Elena wouldn't cheat on Stefan because she's a good person. I do think he noticed something was up...
