Wow, too bad she wasn't trying to commit suicide. The writer of the article should re-read the story. It doesn't glorify it, it just brings it to the fore-front. Anyone who has been in love that hard, will know coming out of that relationship is a VERY hard time, and not easily coped with. Sure the story has it's sides of controversey, but I hope the girls that read it, know that the story isn't real, and not to follow every step of the story into a real relationship. Very interesting.

ok people CAN NOT skip books 2 and 3 becuse then you won't understand the whole jacob x bella x Edward thing going on also bella Wasn't commiting suicide or planing on it she was doing everything for the adrelen rush meaning she can hear edwards vocie in her head

blah dumb artical and hello its NOT a TWEEN book! its a TEEN to adult book! 70% are teens 20% are adults and a posseble 10% are Tweens who read the books + if you read newmoon from the begining its one big romeo and juilet movie fest (no really edward qoutes romeo alot)

Um, don't the writers for this paper have, you know, NEWS to write about? =P

While the writer's fangirl-mockery tone amuses me, she's one of those obsessive mothers who watches her kids' every move, and wants everyone else to do the same - which annoys me. That's why this article got published; it's a warning to other parents whose kids read the series. Too bad she missed the point. It's actually pretty common for people to mistake adrenaline junkies for suicide risks. I don't need to tell you guys this, but Bella felt closer to Edward when she was about to do something dangerous; adrenaline. Not suicide. Go harass your own kid some more, woman, and leave everyone else alone. =P

Animegirl - I agree, Although I see alot of teenage girls reading the books, I'm 22 and love them. Most of my co-workers who are older then me got me interested in the books. So, your right. And for DarkSarcasm, I agree. There are alot of mothers who are like this, their the ones who have GPS devices on their kids to know where they are ALL of the time. Parents are becoming WAY over protective, and need to stop analyzing everything their kid does. Let them live.

the whole point of the story was the way the characters change from one book to the other...
so what if bella was a sellfish brat in eclipse? that gives us more reason to hate her!! which is good, right? coz we aawl want edward :D
and gawd, that lady should b told that if ppl WANT to read it, she should just mind her own business and stop dissing this freaking book
its just a BOOK!

oh and i also agree with laureng114 that new moon DOES glorify suicide like romeo and juliet
but who cares?
the people that pick up the books should b able to handle them
they're not THAT hard to handle................
