Maddex backflipped, avoiding two blunt projectiles.
"Ha! Missed- oof!" He stumbled back as a boots collided with his chest. He dodged another kick, then knocked it aside as it swung at him a third time. SilverWings fell back, her balance thrown. Maddex pounced on his opponent. She leapt out of the way at the last moment and he had to screech to a stop to keep from face planting into the wall.
Coaxoch and Harmonian walked in and face-palmed in unison. "They're still going?" Ceil said, astounded.
"Not for long," Mel got the sneaky smile on her face that made her friend nervous.
Silver swung a high kick at the older boy, who spun out of her reach. He bent his knees to lung at her, but was suddenly tackled unexpectantly from the side at the same time he heard a strangled war cry.
Maddex lay on his back looking up at the girl who was pinning him to the floor. She was surprisingly strong for such a thin girl. Her raven black hair was pulled black, leaving in plain view her piercing green eyes.
"Coax!" Silver said. She laughed at the innocent expression on her teamate's face when Mel looked up at her from her victim. "Please let the nice boy go."
Coaxoch get up and offered a hand to a bewildered Maddex. "Sorry," she said, "you're guys' sparring was going on forever."
"And tackling me seemed to be the only way to get us to halt?" Maddex asked, taking her hand and standing. He rotated his arm, flexing his sore shoulder.
"Yup!" Mel said.
Maddex laughed as the winged girl trotted back over the Harmonian.
"Good match." Maddex turned in time to catch a water bottle. "Thanks," he said, knocking his bottle against Silver's in a cheers, "Guess we're pretty equal in skill. Though you're much better at dodging then I am."
"Are you kidding? You're hits have so much madami power behind them!"
"Thanks, but either way, a two oras match-"
Silver choked on her water. "Two hours?" she exclaimed, then check her watch, "Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot. I was supposed to meet Blaze!"
"When?" Ceil asked.
"An oras ago! Bye!" she shouted back, leaving the other three to wonder....

Blaze glanced over his shoulder as his protege ran to the truck and leapt in. She slammed the door and addresses him with guilt in her grey eyes.
"Lost track of time," she said. "Alek got called out on a mission last minute, so he's stuck at the cave preparing for it.
Blaze shrugged and started the engine. "I sent Jasper and Emily ahead of us. They'll meet us there."
Blaze faced pasulong and concentrated on driving the Humvee, not saying a word. Silver crossed her arms and stared out the passenger window. The view of the baya as the truck crossed the bridge was breath taking. The dots of the lights on the ships riding through the passage connected the specks of Gotham to the ones of New York. The view relaxed the teenager, despite the tension in the truck. This was what she knew as home, the city and the stars.
"I'm not always going to be around, Ary, you know that," Nic said. Aryess blinked and looked over at her mentor, confused sa pamamagitan ng the sudden statement.

"I know, Nic," Aryess said.
"Just making sure."
"Why-" the radio suddenly crackled to life, cutting Aryess off. Blaze turned the dial until a clear, familiar voice transmitted through.
"Blaze, Silver," Jasper said. "We were ambushed in Manhattan. An entire barrage of devil-masked men."
"Bloody Magistrate," Blaze growled.
"Guys," Jasper sinabi breathlessly, as if he was struggling to say the words, "they captured Emily."
