1. Fullmetal Alchemist (2003)

Don't get me wrong I pag-ibig Brotherhood too, but FMA 2003 was where it's at for me! Not gonna lie the main reason I like FMA so much is because Lust. I have a thing for Lust. Basically what makes FMA such an enthralling anime is its wonderful assortment of characters. Each character is complex and developed so well they intrigue viewers.

The entire world of FMA is neat really. Hiromu Arakawa is a wonderful world builder. She set the rules of her world and doesn't leave many plot holes...namely none of the characters are able to break the physical laws of her world.

The plot as a whole is distinctive. The idea of two brothers using alchemy to try to resurrect their mother and in turn losing chunks/the entirety of their bodies...and in turn going on a quest to try to set things right. It's a very neat concept really.

2. Umineko No Naku Koro Ni

I still remember when I first heard of this one. My friend came over to my house and showed me this parody video called Umineko Hell, it was pag-ibig at first sight. Much like with FMA I was lured in sa pamamagitan ng one of the characters. Natsuhi just stood out to me...and yet I ended up loving Beatrice more. Like Lust, Beatrice is what kept me attached to the show. She was such a crazy fun...literally. Everything was a game to her, she was such a sadist; killing people and bringing them back to life because being practically immortal was getting boring.
Again, like in FMA, all of the characters were neat. Alongside Beatrice is Maria. That little girl was deranged, her mother an even madami so abuser. And then you have Bernkastel and the other witches, Beatrice's seven deadly sin based 'furniture', Battler and a vast assortment of others. Each of them teeming with an enticing back story.

Umineko as a whole was thrilling. If you're into the horror/mystery anime scene this one will keep you on the edge of your seat. It was such an exciting one I finished it within a araw or two of starting it. Though you kind of have to pay close attention because every detail matters and it can get confusing if you miss something.

3. Mirai Nikki

I just finished this one yesterday. Holy potatoes it was lovely. It's another one that can be considered horror. Again, the characters are a huge factor...namely Uryuu. Most all of the characters have something going wrong mentally and that's one of the things that make the characters so cool. Risuke is a little boy who likes torturing people, Uryuu likes blowing things up, Yuno just likes murdering people...the listahan is endless.

That sinabi I (in my own twisted way) enjoy a good bloody, brutal anime. Mirai Nikki fits the bill, it's fast paced and intense.

Another thing I really like about Mirai Nikki the plot in general; people using phones that can predict the future in order to compete in a last-man-standing game--the victor becoming the susunod God.

4. Naruto

In case you haven't noticed the pattern yet; the characters are always what catch my eye first. And Naruto has a boundless treasure chest of them--each having a personality distinct to him/her...each having different and original abilities, skill sets, and skill levels. I decided that Temari was gonna be the focus of my pag-ibig lol.
Though he's not in my tuktok 5, I do have a soft spot for Naruto usually I don't like main characters but he's a good one. He's an underdog, but he doesn't complain, he tries to fix it.

I haven't actually finished Naruto yet (I've seen bits and pieces of both Naruto and Naruto Shippudan), I'm currently re-watching it so I can't really say much for the pangkalahatang plot. But what I gather of it its really about Naruto trying to make it in life, trying to do whatever it takes to go from the bottom to being Hokage. And that's a plot that's always a joy for me.

I like how Naruto blends romance and action. How it has super hilarious parts but then super grim and touching parts as well. It's a talented and well balanced mix. I definitely think it earned its place amid the big 3.

5. Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon was just such a huge chunk of my childhood I couldn't not put it in the my tuktok 5. For once it actually isn't the characters that lured me in. It was the simple fact that my grandma put it on the TV and I really loved the theme song. My sister and I had all the mga manika and we would role play it and write unpublished fanfics for it. Basically what keeps Sailor Moon in my tuktok 5 is the nostalgia of it.

Of course I do really pag-ibig the characters. Nehelenia in particular. She was the character I remember most as a child. Not even gonna lie, I remember being slightly scared of her as a child...mini-me would be disappointed in my character choice. Mercury is the one I liked as a kid...simply because she wore blue--that was a pretty big deal to 5 taon old me.

6. Soul Eater

Back to characters being the eye-catcher. This time it was Medusa. The reason I started watching Soul Eater was because a different friend of mine told me I'd probably like Medusa. He was right.

Soul Eater actually held my attention though due to its distinctive art-style. It was just different and rather odd. And believe me, I loved the oddity of Soul Eater.

The idea of death weapons that can take on a human form partnering up with their wielders just caught my attention.

7. Michiko E Hatchin

Courtesy of the same friend who introduced me to Umineko, I found Michiko E Hatchin. Usually anime like this aren't my cup of tea. But I really liked Michiko as a character (she kind of reminded me of Azula, look-wise and that suckered me in) she was pretty badass and made the anime entertaining to watch. Like Naruto, I still have a long way to go in finishing it.

8. Ouran High School Host Club

Ah yes, Ouran. Thanks to my sister I watched this one. Like Michiko E Hatchin, Ouran usually isn't my taste in anime. However the characters were adorable and there was a lot of humor. Humor always keeps me hooked. And I thought the idea of a chick dressing up as a dude in order to pay for a ridiculously expensive vase she damaged in the first episode was pretty great.

9. Skip Beat

This one was another really funny one. Kyoko, after getting stabbed in the back sa pamamagitan ng her childhood friend aims to beat him at pretty much everything he loves to do--namely out do him in the music industry.

What had me liking this one actually wasn't my pag-ibig of a character in particular. It actually came from me wanting to watch a humorous music related anime.

So if you're looking for a light-hearted and hilarious anime try Skip Beat.

10. Wallflower

First and foremost I pag-ibig the soundtrack! Wallflower is another humor anime. It's about this girl who thinks she ugly. She's surrounded sa pamamagitan ng these boys that she keeps describing as 'too radiant'! This anime is pretty neat because the dudes are trying to make her feel pretty again. They aren't just trying to give her a makeover, but they're actually trying to make her feel pretty the way she is. Not even kidding, it is the single most hilarious anime I have ever watched, I was actually laughing out loud pretty much the entire time. The animation is beautiful too. And I loved all of the characters.

I also want to give an honorable mention to Azumanga Daioh. I pag-ibig it because well it really doesn't have a point. Not one that I could pick up on anyways. It's just another cute light-hearted anime. It's about the life and times of a bunch of anime school girls. It was just really sweet and is wonderful if you want to take your mind off of things.
