That was the tanong Hesus asked the women at the well, as you read in John 4:7. Why would Hesus need man to do him a favor in the first place? Is He not the Almighty God who can do whatever He wants? So why would He need to ask a foreign women to give Him some water? Why would He ask you for a favor today?

You can respond like so many others do and say 'just leave me alone, I don't need you' and he probably would. You look at him just like one of these annoying insurance sales men that really don't want to leave you alone until they got you to either buy something from them or throw something at them.

But Hesus is not this kind of guy. He simply asks you for a favor and gives you an opportunity that will be for your own benefit in the end. Come on, it's no secret that the world is careless, best mga kaibigan disappear when they are needed the most and the ones you pag-ibig will eventually kick you in the teeth.

Yeah right, and now you try to tell me that the church is any different? Well, I wish. But to be honest, it's probably not the truth. But I believe that God himself is really different. He doesn't push, he doesn't condemn. He really loves you in a way that is hard to believe. Your father might have been hard with you and your mother was never there for you, but the pag-ibig and acceptance that you will experience in His presence is amazing.

You don't need to proof anything. You don't need to pretend to be someone that you're not. You don't need to be perfect. Just face the crap in your puso and be honest with Him. Tell Him something simple like 'I know that I'm full of crap and I can't change it.'. He will still listen. You see, there are a lot of preachers out there that preach apoy and brimstone and how sinful you are and that you are a miserable rotten sinner. But quite honestly, you knew that before. That is not good news!

The good news is that you don't have to stay like that. Hesus can transform your life and make it worth living again. That's the good news! He just needs your approval. He's not a selfish sales pating that doesn't care for you, but he gave everything up, including his own life, to make it possible for you to have a better and eternal life. When was the last time you saw a sales man selling all his own stuff to give you money to buy what you wanted? I have never seen someone like that! But that is exactly what Hesus did. He gave all He had to give you all you want. That is real love! It is hardly found in people today, but it is found in Him.

When He knocks at door of your puso and asks you for a favor. Instead of ignoring Him, open your puso wide and you will end up having madami than He has requested from you.

Trust him for once and say something like: 'Jesus, I'm quite a wreck and I ask you to forgive my sins. Please come and pour your pag-ibig into me'. What you will experience will be madami than just another moment of your life, but you will encounter the true power of God. You will feel a difference and you will be starting into a true adventure and into a life that is worth living.

'OK, and where is the small print?' Here it is:'Life is not just easy because of Jesus, but it is never hopeless. You will NOT just be a puppet of God, but a man empowered sa pamamagitan ng God. Problems don't just disappear, but He will help you through and make you a way.

Be blessed.

(No offense intended, although I'm sure some will be taken. This isn't meant to belittle your beliefs or the power of your prayers, it's meant to ipakita why your prayers may offend people)

I am an Atheist. Most of you know that. You know that I wander around on the kristyanismo spot so that I can try and understand God and Christianity, even if I don't believe in it. Does my mere presence offend some people here? Does it offend anyone here that I don't like being prayed for?

Try to think about this reasonably. I'm assuming that you don't believe in Allah, the Muslim God. Imagine that you sat down...

The araw after pasko 2004, my brother and I decided to go pagpaparagos on the burol that ran down to our school buildings. I was ten, and he was seven. That morning as I woke up, however, I had a strange feeling. I felt a sense of foreboding, warning me to take caution. Because of this, we brought our trusty dog, Shadow, along. We were sledding, and one time, my brother pushed off extra hard and flew down the hill. He was going too fast and was going to run into the pader of the school. But I was too frightened to call out. Shadow, however, wasn't. She let out a shrill bark, which was the only...
