I have been wanting to write another artikulo for a while, so I decided to write about: "Why I pag-ibig the modern princesses". With any luck, I should be able to do a full series for all the eras :)
Tiana -
What I have always loved about Tiana is so hard-working and determined she is! She doesn't sit and wait for her dream to happen. She works hard araw and night to achieve her goals. To me, that is a great example to set to young girls! I feel there are too many girls I know who do not try at anything at all. Tiana helps to teach that wishing and hoping only gets you so far in life. The reality is: you have to work to do well. Success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.
Of course, Tiana isn't the only girl to set a good hard-working example. Sinderella is also a hard-worker, but I still feel the theme "work hard and you will be rewarded" wasn't really explored enough in her movie. Her dream of going to the ball was mainly achieved because of her Fairy Godmother's kindness, not Cinderella's own toil (in fact Sinderella pretty much gives up until her fairy godmother arrives!). In the Princess and the Frog, I feel this theme was represented perfectly.
Another thing I really admire is her perseverance. I could say the all the princesses persevere, but once again I feel Tiana takes this theme just a lit bit further :)
Rapunzel -
Rapunzel is another one who works hard to achieve her dream (even if I personally feel her dream isn't quite as admirable as Tiana's) but the thing I really admire her for is her intelligence, but also her sweetness and kindness. On the whole, Rapunzel does a lot of smart things (such as getting Flynn to help her see the lights, dealing with the Ruffians, and saving Flynn a THOUSAND times) even if she does have her moments.
Also, Rapunzel still manages to be sweet and kind, even to people who don't always deserve. I have to admit that at times this comes across as annoying and naive, but for the most part I admire her kindness.
Finally, Rapunzel is a really courageous princess. I think people underestimate her bravery in leaving the tower, and in defying Gothel again later on. Gothel is her security and her safety. It's really bravo her to leave all that behind for the sake of a dream.
Merida-
I am afraid this section might be a little repetitive to member's of Team Merida or to any people who were familiar with my last article. If you could madala with me, that would be great :D I pag-ibig how Merida reacts to challenges in life. If there is something in Merida's life that she doesn't like, so she makes a HUGE effort to change it. She doesn't just accept a bad fate. There are millions of teenagers in abusive or bad situations and Merida can act as a perfect role-model to ipakita teens they can change their life!
Merida also spreads a significant message about independence. I feel it is very important that girls see that a princess doesn't have to eventually end up with a prince/love interest. You don't need a man to live happily ever after. bravo teaches girls that life is about finding yourself, not romantic love.
Basically, I pag-ibig Merida for ALL the things she stands for. I just find her such an amazing character!
Overall, I adore the Modern princesses because they are great role-models to the current generation! They are perfectly relevant to my life NOW, and I think that may be why I find them so much madami relate-able than some of other girls (the classics in particular).
I hope you enjoyed my article. In the future, I think I might write a similar artikulo for Elsa and Anna when they sumali the line-up. I'd also like to write about the other eras. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome :)

Leah woke the susunod day, the first thing she did was get ready for the araw like any other day. Leah liked being the first one up instead the last one up, she headed for the stable to go for a ride. Mulan was there when she got there grooming her horse, she sinabi " Good Morning." Leah nodded hello and mounted on Chun bareback the way Chun liked. On the trail everything was quite, Leah sinabi to herself "Its so quite out." She looked around, nothing moved or made a sound. but she knew something big was going to happen and that araw was coming. She made it tahanan before hapunan but was a tad late but she didn't mind. hapunan was quite when it was time for bed, Leah changed into her outfit and went to bed. She wondered what tomorrow would bring. Tomorrow was going to be a dangerous day.
