The stars of the show <3 (Art not my own - found on pinterest)
I have been wanting to write another artikulo for a while, so I decided to write about: "Why I pag-ibig the modern princesses". With any luck, I should be able to do a full series for all the eras :)

Tiana -
What I have always loved about Tiana is so hard-working and determined she is! She doesn't sit and wait for her dream to happen. She works hard araw and night to achieve her goals. To me, that is a great example to set to young girls! I feel there are too many girls I know who do not try at anything at all. Tiana helps to teach that wishing and hoping only gets you so far in life. The reality is: you have to work to do well. Success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.
Hard work may not look pretty- but trust me - it's worth it!

Of course, Tiana isn't the only girl to set a good hard-working example. Sinderella is also a hard-worker, but I still feel the theme "work hard and you will be rewarded" wasn't really explored enough in her movie. Her dream of going to the ball was mainly achieved because of her Fairy Godmother's kindness, not Cinderella's own toil (in fact Sinderella pretty much gives up until her fairy godmother arrives!). In the Princess and the Frog, I feel this theme was represented perfectly.
Service with a smile I see Tiana!!!! (Crossover found on fanpop, not my own)

Another thing I really admire is her perseverance. I could say the all the princesses persevere, but once again I feel Tiana takes this theme just a lit bit further :)
We all know I'm awesome ;)

Rapunzel -
Rapunzel is another one who works hard to achieve her dream (even if I personally feel her dream isn't quite as admirable as Tiana's) but the thing I really admire her for is her intelligence, but also her sweetness and kindness. On the whole, Rapunzel does a lot of smart things (such as getting Flynn to help her see the lights, dealing with the Ruffians, and saving Flynn a THOUSAND times) even if she does have her moments.
It's such a shame we're drowning because the water's too dark. If only I had magical hair that glows when I sing.... OH WAIT

Also, Rapunzel still manages to be sweet and kind, even to people who don't always deserve. I have to admit that at times this comes across as annoying and naive, but for the most part I admire her kindness.
Is it just me, or does she look a little like Anna here?
Is it just me, or does she look a little like Anna here?

Finally, Rapunzel is a really courageous princess. I think people underestimate her bravery in leaving the tower, and in defying Gothel again later on. Gothel is her security and her safety. It's really bravo her to leave all that behind for the sake of a dream.
 This took guts.
This took guts.

Merida-
I am afraid this section might be a little repetitive to member's of Team Merida or to any people who were familiar with my last article. If you could madala with me, that would be great :D I pag-ibig how Merida reacts to challenges in life. If there is something in Merida's life that she doesn't like, so she makes a HUGE effort to change it. She doesn't just accept a bad fate. There are millions of teenagers in abusive or bad situations and Merida can act as a perfect role-model to ipakita teens they can change their life!
 Yes. Always.
Yes. Always.

Merida also spreads a significant message about independence. I feel it is very important that girls see that a princess doesn't have to eventually end up with a prince/love interest. You don't need a man to live happily ever after. bravo teaches girls that life is about finding yourself, not romantic love.
I'm not the only one who feels this way!!! (Found on the Walt Disney Confessions Tumblr)

Basically, I pag-ibig Merida for ALL the things she stands for. I just find her such an amazing character!
 You're boring people Annabeth....

Overall, I adore the Modern princesses because they are great role-models to the current generation! They are perfectly relevant to my life NOW, and I think that may be why I find them so much madami relate-able than some of other girls (the classics in particular).

I hope you enjoyed my article. In the future, I think I might write a similar artikulo for Elsa and Anna when they sumali the line-up. I'd also like to write about the other eras. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome :)

Leah woke the susunod day, the first thing she did was get ready for the araw like any other day. Leah liked being the first one up instead the last one up, she headed for the stable to go for a ride. Mulan was there when she got there grooming her horse, she sinabi " Good Morning." Leah nodded hello and mounted on Chun bareback the way Chun liked. On the trail everything was quite, Leah sinabi to herself "Its so quite out." She looked around, nothing moved or made a sound. but she knew something big was going to happen and that araw was coming. She made it tahanan before hapunan but was a tad late but she didn't mind. hapunan was quite when it was time for bed, Leah changed into her outfit and went to bed. She wondered what tomorrow would bring. Tomorrow was going to be a dangerous day.

Monster Figure 1: I'm bored, and hungry.

Monster Figure 2: Yea, so am I. When is she gonna call back?

Monster Figure 1: Hell if I know. But until then, we'll have to either A) Starve to death...

Monster Figure 2: Yawn.

Animal 1: That sounds like a good option.

Monster Figure 2: *Hits the animal* Shut up you stupid dinner- I mean snack- I mean bird, no one was talking to ya!

I pag-ibig how hardworking she is and I pag-ibig how she doesn't take shiz from ANYONE, not even from a prince. -BB2010

Her determination. And I would pag-ibig to taste one of her dishes. -Swanpride

Probably just her perseverance. -wavesurf

Probably that she's allowed to have both a warm doting side as well as a take-no-crap one. It's a nice mixture. I also pag-ibig that her whole reason for working so hard is to fulfill James' dream of owning a restaurant. She is truly a family girl and has a lot of pag-ibig for her parents, and her loyalty to her dad is so touching. -AudreyFreak

I pag-ibig how she is very hard working...

Hi, y'all! Hope your week is going well! I want to point out one quick thing before we get into this article. I know some of the STUFF in the live-action is different, from the characters and their names to certain parts of the story, so I might actually be all over the place as I talk about the article. Just a fair warning. Now, why don't we get into it?

The characters:

Mulan:

You know what? I'm just going to talk about both versions in one piece for a second. They're both fearless, headstrong, loyal, and badass. I knew the original version was all those things, but see how the live-action version...

Second: Here is my personal break-down analysis based on knowledge of Arab/Muslim culture compared to the Disney Aladdin film.

The majority of Princess Jasmine's numerous flaws stem from the fact that she is completely inaccurate and offensive to her culture. From the clothes she wears to the way she speaks, hasmin does not represent Arab or Muslim women at all but rather a disgraceful woman in their culture. Unfortunately, Jasmine...
