I'm actually looking pasulong to watching this a little madami than I did when I had to watch Maleficent. This remake may not live up to the standards of the original but personally it's always been enjoyable to watch.

Tonight's rewatch: Cinderella
Last time watched: 2017-2018

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The first time I watched Sinderella I did like it and there were some changes I liked but then there were some changes I really had to question. Even with the problems I have with this movie I still like to watch it every now and then.

How much of this movie have I forgotten:

Since the last time I watched this movie wasn't that long nakaraan there isn't much to forget. Except how...smiley Ella was. Like, okay, in the original Sinderella did smile and was always kind but Lily James in this smiled even during times that people normally wouldn't smile at, like when Lady Tremaine told Ella to have dresses commissioned for herself (Lady Tremaine) and the stepsisters or when she was locked up in the attic she sang and danced around. It's one thing to have courage and be kind, it's another thing to have her smile during her abuse. At least when Ella is smiling at little while talking to Farmer John after hearing about her father passing away it's madami realistic because that's her trying to put on a bravo face for him which is normal for a lot of people when they're grieving.

Oh, and I keep forgetting that Hayley Atwell, aka, Peggy frigging Carter played Ella's mother. I could not recognize her with blonde hair. And now that I've finally started Game of Thrones I have to say it's funny to see Robb Stark in this movie.

Old vs New:

For one thing I loved that we got to see Ella with parents and see her relationship with them. Other than the beginning of the movie Cinderella's parents are barely brought up in the original. In fact, there's a deleted scene that is really sad but I wish was kept in the movie; after Ella's father passes away Lady Tremaine has her pack up all his belongings and then sells off not only all of his things, but Ella's things as well. The only thing Ella was able to keep was the gift he gave her when she was a child. It would have made the movie a little longer but it was still a very nice scene and very emotional.

As interesting as it was to have Ella's father stay alive until she was older it didn't make sense to have her get her stepfamily when she's older and only endure their abuse for a short while. In the original she was abused for years and for abuse victims who have to live with it for years it makes it harder to leave tahanan or get help. In the remake she only has to live with it for maybe a few months and then the excuse for why she doesn't leave is because she doesn't want to leave her family's tahanan but then is madami than happy to leave at the end of the movie.

Lucifer and the mice didn't have much of a point in being in this movie either. At least in the movie they had several scenes together and separated but in this, they're just...there. In my paborito Sinderella remake, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Sinderella starring Brandi and Whitney Houston, there's no cat but there are mice but they're just blink and miss, only appearing in one musical number and then again when Fairy Godmother makes them into horses so they at least aren't 100% useless. The mice and the Pusa could have been left out of this movie and there wouldn't have been much difference. Also, why was Jaq randomly changed into a female mouse?

I liked Lady Tremaine in the remake but not as much as the original and there's some things she does that to this araw I still don't understand. Like when Ella and her father are talking the night before he had to leave and Lady Tremaine hears them talking she loses her smile and looks upset. And I have mixed feelings about her story about losing her husband and then losing another and then having to look at the reminder (Ella) every day. On one hand, nice delivery and it humanizes her a little but on the other hand it's so unnecessary. In the original Lady Tremaine didn't need a real reason to treat CInderella so poorly. I'm also disappointed that she wasn't as manipulative as the original Lady Tremaine. That's one of the reasons why loved Lady Tremaine in the original so much.

I liked that Ella and Kit had met before the ball, it was a cute scene and the deer hunting scene was something that was planned for the original (though it would have been different), the same with him meeting her again at the end to give her slipper back. I wondered how the original movie would have been if those scenes were added so it's nice to see them in this movie. After only watching the original and Sinderella II: Dreams Come True I'm so disappointed that the prince didn't have much screentime so I'm so glad we get to see madami of him in the remake and get to know him better.

And I'm glad we got to see Kit with the King since in the original we never saw them together, only in the sequels. Again, I have mixed feelings about the changes for the King. I thought the King in the original was funny but I like how the King is in the remake. The same with the Grand Duke suddenly being a villain; I thought he was funny in the original but I liked the added threat in this movie.

I defintely wished that Ella didn't have human mga kaibigan in this movie. Harsh, yes, but since she had mga kaibigan it just makes the audience ask, "Why doesn't she leave? Why doesn't she find help?"

The dress being torn up could have been much better, too. In the original both the sisters went at her like mga lobo and it was madami traumatic and upsetting. In the remake only a few parts of the dress were torn and it felt rushed. I could barely shed a tear watching her dress be torn in the remake.

I actually loved Helena Bonham Carter's portayal of the Fairy Godmother. She was madami silly in this one but she looked fantastic and her silliness didn't feel forced like the fairies' "silliness" was in Maleficent.

The dress transformation, while pretty, was not as nice as the original. It probably would have been better if Lily James' spinning didn't look awkward.

As much as I liked her scene with Mr. butiki before she went inside, it probably would have been much sweeter if we saw her with the lizards and the gansa instead of just the mice. The original Sinderella had a loving relationship with all the mga hayop we see in the movie, in the remake we only saw her with the mice and only a short scene at the begining with the goose.

I'm disappointed that the chase scene in the remake was madami silly than intense like the first movie was. That was one of my paborito scenes in the original. And I'm even madami disappointed that the reveal that the glass slipper was still there was taken out, that was another paborito scene of mine.

I still tanong Ella's decision to randomly sing and twirl around in the attic when she's locked up there instead of opening the window and asking for help. Instead the mice had to do the work for her. Jaq, Gus, and the other mice and birds did help her in the original but it's not like Sinderella relied on them to help her with the simplest tasks such as opening the window.

I'm still sad that Ella couldn't pull her slipper out of her pocket and say, "I have the other slipper!" but I thought it was interesting and intrigued that the slippers' roles were reversed.

But I'm still so angry that Ella forgave her stepfamily for what they did, especially after what Lady Tremaine did.

Movie:
Even with the differences between this movie and the original and as much as I hate how this movie used "have courage and be kind" in a way that had a woman let herself be a walking doormat, this is still one of my paborito remakes. The characters, original and new, are all interesting (except the mice and Lucifer) and this movie had enough changes in it that I was actually worried about what would happen susunod unlike the remakes that are made to be exactly like the original.

Rating: 7/10

How much has my opinion changed?
It's the same, I pag-ibig this movie even with some of its frustrating flaws but at least they aren't as frustrating as Maleficent and Beauty and the Beast.

Would I watch it again?
Yes!

susunod movie will be Frozen!

A Disney Tale: A young girl is forced into drudgery sa pamamagitan ng her step-family, only to win the puso of the kingdom's Prince and live happily ever after.

Disney Hero: Ostensibly, the 'hero' of Sinderella is the Prince (never actually referred to as Prince Charming, despite that being what he is generally known as today. Some sources have him named as Henry.). It is he who romances Sinderella and desires her as his wife after the ball. But, actually, the real bayani of Sinderella - for me - are Jaq and Gus, Cinderella's mice friends. They are the one's who rescue Sinderella from her attic room. Jaq...

So Anna was a little madami interesting to write because as I started Pagsulat Anna's, I thought about how I used Elsa the end of the movie as a basis for making her princess listahan so I tried to focus on end of the movie Anna. However, I realized that, although I felt like Anna had changed-- she actually hadn't. I became conscious of the fact that the narrative was making Anna go through all the motions and dramatic arcs of someone going through a change, but she was still the same person at the end of the movie. Also, like Snow White, I think Anna would absolutely adore all of the Disney Princesses....

This is what I think Merida's princess listahan would be if she were tagahanga of Disney Princesses. We will never know for certain what Merida's princess listahan would be, but we can make general assumptions. I think while some of you may not agree with every placement, the general ranking of who would be at the bottom, middle , and tuktok of her listahan will be the same in all of our opinions:) Thanks to wavesurf for helping me out!

10. Aurora

Predictably, Merida wouldn't have a taste for the classic princesses. Aurora would likely be in last place. Merida's main gripe against Aurora would be that she let...

You can call this an artikulo to defend the princesses. Not only Classic DPs, other princesses probably get a lot of hate on any false statement. Those misconceptions which people tend to hate some DPs about, aren’t entirely true btw.

Snow White – Backboneless

Umm, some people do say this at times. Just because she was in distress and was rescued sa pamamagitan ng a man, doesn’t mean she’s backboneless. Okay, fans might blame her for overacting and being afraid of some trees, but that isn’t timid. Some people have a mental disorder called Nyctohylophobia, that is the fear of trees. So, facing...

Hi guys, I know Snow is not the most beloved princess, but I´m glad everyday she gets madami pag-ibig and appreciation from people. ^^ So for those people that may just not care about her o don´t like her, this artikulo is for you :D

--Character Analysis--

Snow White is the 1st disney Princess and the protagonist of SW7D, also the 1st disney movie. The movie starts with an old storybook that tells us a little bit of Snow´s story: her parents died at childbirth and she lived with her evil stepmother that abused her por treating her as a scullery maid and dressed her in rags so she couldn´t surpass...

Hi everybody! In case you're new to the club and/or unfamiliar with these articles, let me explain. This type of artikulo has been done in past sa pamamagitan ng a few other users to showcase some of the current Disney Princess fans. Now obviously there are many other members in this club, besides the ones listed here, but it is pretty much impossible to include everyone for various reasons. But anyway, each person involved is listed according to their paborito princess, and there is a short summary of that person, so we can all get to know each other a little bit better.

Before we get started, I do want to...

It's been 4 years since I last made a princess listahan and I feel that it needs an update. Unlike my earlier duration on fanpop where I could never keep my listahan constant, my listahan has stayed pretty much consistent over time since my original departure. It's difficult for me to make paborito princess lists, not because of being so negatively opinionated, but actually because I genuinely like all of the princesses.

Your movie's advertising LIED to us!
First of all, this is an essay I had to do for my Advanced Composition class during the Spring semester, so this is a little bit madami formal than how my artikulo usually are.

Disney and Pixar’s movie bravo is about a Scottish Princess named Merida that wants to be free of her arranged marriage and live her life without the responsibilities that come with being a princess. She and her mother, reyna Elinor, don’t see eye to eye because of Merida’s rebellious nature and Elinor preference of the traditional ways. When Merida fails to get her way she ends up buying a spell from a witch (Using...

The prettiest DP ranking( including Anna and Elsa)

Excuse me for not giving detailed descriptions. I am an intuiter sa pamamagitan ng MBTI and focusing on details is not my strengh. So I'll give my general impression.
I am not sure about all placements. I am sure about #13-8 and about my TOP-3 but not about the medium.
I own none of these images.

13. Snow White
The most nurturing of all? Sure. The fairest? Sorry, I don't think so.

Who will win? Gusot vs. Frozen! nagyelo frost or Gusot tracks?

It is going to be EPIC! So hold on your seats for the comparison of two blockbusters of Disney---TANGLED AND FROZEN. This is my first article, so I am a bit nervous but I hope you enjoy this beauty list!

While nagyelo comes with great directors and has much consumerism, Gusot has amazing visuals, entertaining storyline, great music, wonderful characterization and nice places! Let’s Start!

VISUALS AND ANIMATION:
Back in 2010, Gusot was considered to be one of the most beautiful looking animated films ever created. The animators...

Ready for your second Disco Party?
Hi guys, now as you all know that I previously did for the Princesses' disco part featuring all of the Kpop songs. Only this time, I will do the English pop songs that we're all familiar with!

1) The Girls of Rock and Roll

Taken from the Chipmunks Adventure film, I can't get this song out of my head! The dance scene will be like America from West Side Story.

2) Everything's Gonna Be Alright

Also taken from Alvin and the tsipmank meet the Wolfman, this song could the segundo choice after the first one!

3) Last Friday Night (TGIF) sa pamamagitan ng Katy Perry

Another lovely song if their Disco Party was held on...

 Yes, THESE designs.
Yes, THESE designs.
When it comes to the DP lineup, fans have come to expect that the merchandise designs of our paborito characters aren't always going to match their looks in the movie. Sometimes you give the benefit of the doubt, because there may be some difficulty in translating to the new lineup art style, or changes may be done on purpose for marketing reasons. But other times, there is no exception. And for years we have dealt with some shameless representations of these heroines. Let it be said, though; some are fairly close to the pinagmulan material. Today I'll be counting down which of the above character...

The Disney Princesses are usually have some beautiful and iconic dresses. In this artikulo I would share my listahan of paborito Disney Princess wardrobes.
I don't include some undergarments, undone dress (ex: Ariel's sail outfit), and some that I don't count as an outfit like Ariel's mermaid attire.
Credit goes to link's artikulo of link for ideas of rate each princess' dress.
Anyway, here's my list, started from least to most paborito :)

11. Tiana

11. Tiana

I didn't mean to say she's ugly, I just think Tiana is the most plain/average in terms of beauty department. She has nice eyes and those eyes are shining in some moments, but most of her other body features are plain and nothing special. Her hair is way too simple with some curls, she got too big nose and thick lip. Her skin was exotic enough as an African-American princess. Her dimples are fine, but at least it makes her...
