POTM Hairstyles Countdown: ~*Rapunzel*~ (January 2013)

Since I am trying to make the Princess Of The buwan madami popular, this is another one of my ideas. In the end of each buwan I'll post articles, based on the countdowns for songs, hairstyles and outfits. There everybody will have the chance to discuss whether they agree with the results, what corresponded to their expectations, and what they wish would have been different!

Once again, I will be using pictures for my articles. A few months back I would have made a detailed explanation about each result, but since the kamakailan changes, Fanpop has been pagganap really weird. And yes, I don't like the option of Pagsulat long paragraphs with text, while the pictured are all clustered in the bottom of the article! So under each picture I will be posting one comment, related to the result. So in case you don't want your comments posted in my articles, please contact me!

Yup. We got ourself's a cooking princess.

Now as we all know Tiana isn't really that popular on fanpop...am I the only person that LOVES her?
I mean this girl is basically brought Disney to a whole new level!!! She can cook, make a raft, she can dance, she can also sing in a BROADWAY voice. Not a lot of DP's have a broadway-like voice other than Ariel, Belle, Pocahontas, and maybe hasmin or Rapunzel but I doubt it. Just about half.
Now I'll be telling a few reasons why this modern princess deserves a little bit of support,clapping, and bravos.

I'm Pagsulat this artikulo because with all due respect to everyone's opinion I could never appreciate the double standards surrounding Ariel’s character with all the “she left her family behind because of a guy despite canon clearly stating she dreamt of being a part of a human world long before even knowing Eric exists” sort of statements. And I don’t really like comparing Disney girls and Pagsulat character A vs. character B kinds of posts, but I feel like sometimes it is the only way to make a point.

Female characters today are a far cry from the demure, lady-like heroines of the Classic Age of Disney. They are allowed to wield weapons, they are allowed to lead rebellions, they are allowed to be the brains of the operation. But on the other hand, have we really shed the need to fit every character into a preconceived ideal? Really, I’d say the female characters of today are every bit as idealized as those of the pre-Civil Rights era, simply reflecting our ideals of our modern society, juggling a career, relationship (or entirely rejecting one,)...
