I love this movie, but objectively it is the worst. The plot, themes, characters, music, villain, everything is done sloppily. Really quite tragic considering they had so many great ideas, they were just horribly executed.

I don't have a problem with it being inaccurately correct at all. That's not the problem and the film had potential. I absolutely love the animation and music. But aside from that, things happen out of nowhere, like magic. For example, when Pocahontas just knows English like that. I also think a lot of things in the movie was clichéd. Sometimes, Pocahontas just stands there and look like a supermodel.

This movie is by far the worst DP film. The characters are barely one-dimensional with the exception of the fairies, the filler takes up legit half of the film, and scenes are only there to take up time in the film. Like Nostalgia Critic said, it is a colossal masterpiece and a colossal mess at the same time. The only good thing about this movie are the animation and music, but even that was not enough to save the film. It is uninteresting and very unbalanced.

Agree with Dimitri_is_hot. The characters weren't exactly executed properly. This movie could of been a lot more interesting and exciting if it wasn't so cliched and stuff just happened out of nowhere like Dimitri_is_hot said.

No contest here. It has terrible plot, mostly unmemorable songs and despite that the idea behind the movie was great, the execution is very weak.

I agree with Jayden-G.

Sleeping Beauty, for all its weaknesses, has a lot to offer - one of the best Disney Villains, a great climax and naturally the great animation and unique use of music. Like it or not, it does stand out, not just between the DP-movies, but between animated movies in general. There isn't another one like it. It's more like they adapted the ballet for the screen and not the source text.

I'm between PatF and Pocahontas. The former has a terrible plot, mostly unlikable or forgettable characters, boring songs with even worse lyrics - but at least it took a chance. At least it tried something creative. Pocahontas on the other hand...half of the movie is filler, the story is contrived and overdone. But then, it at least manages a decent narrative and decent music.

I'm never really sure what is worse, trying to do something new and failing or not even really trying in the first place....

Though I like it more than Aladdin, Pocahontas, and Mulan, on an objective basis, I say this one's the worst for reasons mentioned above. Next would be Pocahontas.

Or Little Mermaid.

I love that is a classic, and it should be, but as a movie, it's boring. Nothing really happens until the ball.
