*takes place before the apoy rescue*
Private and Rico walked along the road, getting really tired. Then, they saw something flicker in a building.
"That can't be good," Private muttered. He and Rico entered the building and saw a small flame, growing rapidly.
"RICO!" Private exclaimed. "Do you have anything to put it out?"
Rico tried coughing up something a few times.
"Nah-ah."
"Oh dear," Private cried, bringing his flippers to his eyes, and letting go of his map in the process. It flew up from the heat, and dropped, settling right onto the flames, and making them roar higher.
"AHH!" Private and Rico screamed, watching in horror as the flames rose higher and spread faster. They soon spread to the entire building, trapping them in a burning apoy of doom. They coughed and gasped, but the smoke was too thick, and it was killing them off.
Priavte and Rico collpapsed where they were, Rico falling unconsious. Private tried to wake him, but it was no use, and he, too, soon grew weak, to almost losing consiousness. Then, he thought he heard voices outside. He lifted his head, weakly, and cried out. "Help!" heoping they'd hear his pitiful call. Then, losing all straingth, he lay his head down, waiting. For what, he didn't know, but he waited.
After what seemed like a few seconds, but was probablt hors for all he knew, he was jerked awake. Was he dead? No! Skipper was standing over him, worry written all over his face. Private looked over to see Rico, now awake and alert, being dragged away be Kowalski. He left Skipper lifting him up, and half dragging. half carrying him out.
Soon, Rico saw the sun, and smiled, knowing he was now safe. He tried to get up, so Kowalski didn't have to drag him so much, but couldn't. Kowalski dragged him to the group, with Skipper not far behind. HE gently lay him down, and Private was laid susunod to him. Rico put his flippers around Private, to comfort him, and Private started coughing, hard. They both kept coughing. They heard Skipper and the others talking, but couldn't make out what they said. The only thing they understood, was Kiva's voice saying, "Rico! Private!" Then blackness...
Private woke up, seeing the group of mga hayop surrounding him. susunod to him, Rico sat up, and groaned. Private tried sitting up too, but fell back on his back, overwhemled sa pamamagitan ng a coughing fit. Kiva stayed sa pamamagitan ng his side.
"You'll be ok," she soothed. "I'll stay with you until we find CC." Private managed a smile.
Suddenly, the bushes around them rustled, and two pairs of eyes stared out at them. Kiva sheriked. Skipper and Monique kalapati into the bushes. HWne they came out, they were holding a penguin, and a raccoon. Only, they weren't CC and Rune.
"It's Dylan and Kyle!" Private choked. Dylan and Kye smiled sheepishly, as Skipper and Monique dropped them onto the ground.
"And why, pray tell, were you spaying on us?" Monique asked.
"Uh, we weren't sure if those strangers were holding you hostage or not."
"Their friends, not foes," Skipper assured.
Macie tugged Amber's wing and signed something. Amber gasped.
"Has anyone seen Mist-Wu?" she asked. No's were murmured around the group. Private sat up, succeding this time, and looked aorund the group. He saw some familiar faces, but two of them were new to him. Soon, they introduced themselves as Amber and Macie.
"And who's this Mist-Wu?" he whispered, weakly.
"She's not important," Amber said. "She was only using us. She's nobody, and she ditched us when Skipper and Kowalski were trying to save you guys."
"Wher oters?" Rico asked.
"We currently have no idea where Mech-Skipper, Lexii, CC, Bandit or Rune are. Their current location is...well...possibly...not on earth."
"You mean they might not have survived?" Private asked.
"Affirmative."
"I'm sure they did!" Private cried, standing up suddenly, and coughing again from smoke. He sat back down, and Kiva rubbed his back.
"BYUK GYU UIOHUIGYU!!!!" Rico shouted, also coughing.
"I think they have too much smoke in their lungs," Kowalski said.
"So?" Skipper asked.
"That's a bad thing, Skipper."
"Oh. Well, do something about it."
"I don't know WHAT to do. I'm a scientist, not a doctor."
"Isn't medical stuff another type of science?" Dylan asked.
"I suppose," Kowalski agreed. "Your point?" Monique face-palmed.
Private and Rico kept coughing. Soon, though, they stopped.
"I think I'll be alright now," he said, his voice croaky from so much coughing. Rico nodded his agreement, and Kiva sighed with relief.
"Now," sinabi Kyle, standing. "We should either looks for our friends, or get to the house and wiat for them there."
"I say we split up," Skipper said. "Amber, Macie, Kiva, Private, Monique and Rico go on to the house. Dylan, Kyle, Kowalski and I will look for th others. We'll be back sa pamamagitan ng sunset, with or without them, and continue in the morning."
"Sounds like a plan," Dylan replied, and everyone nodded.
Then, they split up. Macie, Amber, Private, Rico, Monique, and Kiva all went to the house, and the others went to find their friends.
"I hope," Skipper muttered...
