How did you discover FMA?

I'm just curious to hear some people's stories. Personally i found out about this ipakita last summer because of recommendations on the internet. I was currently watching an anime called Ouran High School Host Club and Vic is one of the main actors in it so i kept hearing "Oh my god that's Edward Elric!" and i was like: who is this character people keep talking about? So one araw i'm in Wal Mart on vacation helping my mom buy pagkain for our baybayin house and i see an dvd for Fma and thought "Why not? i might like it...." best decision ever!!! Now i'm a huge tagahanga and probably always will be.

For me I was looking through the anime part of Adult Swim on saturday nights and sunday mornings and I saw Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood on it and the name sounded interesting so I looked at the background of the show,the characters and it seemed really interesting so I decided to record it on my DVR so I could watch it when I woke up and from that episode which was episode 21 of Brotherhood Advance of the Fool which I laughed so hard in my first episode watching and from then on I've been a tagahanga FMA!

Well I was watching Bleach and this advertisment came on for Brotherhood and I thought it looked cool. Then I saw that it was available free on demand so I ended up watching episode 4 of Brotherhood. Unfortunatly the only other episode avilable on demand at the time was episode 10 and well we all know what happens in that one. I pag-ibig what I saw though so I went out and bought the mangas then I got Brotherhood on DVD. Then after I finished those up I found out that there was a 2003 version so I bought those as well.

My friend recommended it to me and I have been obsessed ever since. ^^ FMA is such a great show...it has a fantastic storyline (in both the original and Brotherhood), great and original characters, and strong lessons. It comes into my everyday life: in math class, we were talking about equivlance...I fall alseep, teacher asks me question, I wake up and yell "Equivlant Exchange!". Or in science class...Teacher: Let's talk about alchemy." Me: What? I'm awake!" There is also a pretty personal reason as well... It's like the greatest thing in my life. It makes me happy. :3
