House M.D. Tanong

Have we had any good medical metaphors lately? I can't recall.

I'm rewatching some of the older episodes. Right now Merry Little pasko (get me in the vicodin detoxing holiday spirit.)
And it reminded me how often House used to use metaphors and how he hasn't been lately, that or I haven't been noticing them. So my tanong is have we had any metaphors in season 6 or have I just not been noticing them?

House M.D. Sagot

Well we did have the patient in "Ignorance is Bliss." He was supposed to be exactly like House, a genious. The patient gives up his intelligence to be happy which is something that House himself is trying to struggle with. The patient was supposed to be just like House.

I don't know whether you'd call that a "good" metaphor but it was one lol.

what I mean sa pamamagitan ng medical metaphors are when like House sinabi to Cuddy in 3.15 Half Wit "Not my brain. But his, who knows? What? Lets say I'm the left side of Patrick's brain, I'm quick-witted, I'm charming, I'm great looking. You're the right side of his brain. You're useless, old, damaged. "We go to a bar for a drink. Now, I have the mad skills to be scoring all the hot babes, but instead, I'm spending my time wiping drool off your chin and making sure you don't eat the tablecloth."

or this quote from Autopsy "The tumor is Afghanistan, the clot is Buffalo. Does that need madami explanation? OK, the tumor is Al-Qaeda. We went in and wiped it out, but it had already sent out a splinter cell--a small team of low-level terrorists quietly living in some suburb of Buffalo, waiting to kill us all. . . . It was an excellent metaphor. Angio her brain for this clot before it straps on an explosive vest."
