The majority of you guys asked for a reboot of the project in order to be more adequate with your new preferences and interests. It's fine, you guys have a right to change your minds about your faves, etc.
But as all of you know, I am quite protective of ADF - even more so than any other project or fic that Rachel and I wrote here. I don't know why but there's something that always clicked with ADF - with its characterization, its plot, unfolding of events - it could be messy at times because there was so many characters but it worked. It always worked so well, and almost effortlessly.
So that's why I can't wrap my head around a reboot of it, I wouldn't even know how to write it properly.
Since it was so long ago, I think it's best to let it be and let it just stay in the past.
That said, I still want to write for you guys very much and I'm always excited about working with Rachel, so that's why we've decided present to you a fic idea we had that would feel similar to ADF without being a copy of it.
Here's the idea: We would still have fairytale counterparts but instead of them being straight up us, we are reincarnations of these fairytales. We are keeping to two distinct narrative structures as we'd both have fairytale "flashbacks" and present-day scenes set in modern times.
For the present-day part, there's a twist. I kinda had this crazy idea of mixing genres that at first don't look compatible and - humor me for a bit - I think the superhero/vigilante world could work very well as a foil of fairytales. We are still in early stages but so far two stories that I'm thinking about linking together would work fantastically.
I actually LOVE this prospect and I hope you guys are still in and excited. It's not ADF in the strict sense but it would be a reboot of it in spirit.
So far, Rach & I already have brainstormed ideas and I'm already looking to fit the various elements I thought of together. BUT I need your input about your characters, because that will influence the plot and the creation of the new fic.
From you I need FOUR things:
-The fairytale character/story you want to have
- The superhero/vigilante character/story you want to have (can be from MCU or DC - if you don't know/like either, at least what kind of ability you would want to have)
- Your actor/actress for the fic
- Your love interest if you do wish to have one (and his different fairytale/superhero counterpart if you have an idea about that)
(If there's like a friendship/family ship that you want to have, or a job/occupation in particular, you can mention it as well, we'll take everything in consideration!)
Like for ADF, I can't guarantee that everyone will get their first choice, that's why I'd like you to mention a runner-up for EACH category and I'll try to fit all of that in.
You can choose something that has already been posted by someone else, I really want you to pick your FIRST choice and then I'll do my very best to please everyone.

Here are my choices :
Fairytale character/story : I have a very special connection with The Little Mermaid. As I said in the other pick, I'd like to represent a darker, at least more realistic version of Ariel.
Runner up : Pocahontas is almost tied with Ariel, so she'd be my second choice.
Superhero : I love Storm from X-Men !
Runner up : Harley Quinn, or Enchantress, I like both.
Actress : Emilia Clarke
Runner up : Nikki Reed
Love interest : Negan from TWD
His counterpart : Well, he's kinda an anti-hero/vilain already, so you can keep him like he already is and maybe make him a vilain (I have to mention he's not entirely bad). I don't mind cause I love bad guys haha :p
So, that'd be : Hades for the fairytale part, and Venom for the superhero part.
Runner up : Berlin from La Casa de Papel
Job : I'd love my character to be a metal singer !!
Runner up : Actress, or explorer ! Or something that has to do with art/adventure.
I'd also like to share moments with Kir cause we have a lot in common and that'd be cool to illustrate that in the story !

Love Interest = Me, lol. I’d love some fab moments :p I’d love sharing scenes with Rana or Maria, obviously! But, if you need an extra person, you can always throw in Sophia Bush as anyone close to me or a naked Ian Harding and I’d be cool. Jk :p
Job = I always feel like journalist is the job for me. But you can have him be in anything cool and lifestyle, like fashion, films/tv and pr are all dreams of me!

I really love Gwen from the amazing spiderman & recenlty Nic made me watch Iron Man and I really loved Pepper Potts but I know she's not really a superhero, even though Nic told me she's in the comics. Okay so my all-time fave superheroes are Captain America, Spider-Man & Superman. I may have a slight preference for Cap as my all-time fave now, but I pretty much adore these three equally <333
If we’re talking about female superheroes, then Supergirl & Scarlet Witch are my girls ;) <333 (Gotta say, if we’re talking power/abilities, then Wanda’s telekinesis powers are my favorite!)
BUT since news broke out that Jane Foster (aka Nat) is going to be female Thor, I’ve been REALLY excited for that idea as well! <333
So yeah, those are my preferences/ideas/thoughts, I’m leaving the choice to you guys. I trust you will make the best decision for your story ;D

I didn’t really wanna do this, because it’s your story and you should be free in your writing choices. But now that I’ve thought about it, I would find it cool if Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield or Tom Holland, either one :p) could be my brother maybe...But you really don’t have to do that if it doesn’t fit in the story!
