Why are My Little parang buriko Friendship is Magic products inaccurate?

So, I was in the store on Tuesday and I went to the MLP: FIM Canterlot aisle! It was my first time checking it out! I was so excited but then... I saw that Princess Celestia doll that's on TV. It was so ugly! It didn't even LOOK ANYTHING LIKE Princess Celestia! The skin color is PURPLE instead of WHITE. So are the wings. They are BLUE instead of WHITE. They kind of got the hair right but definitely not the hooves.I was also a little mad because none of the other ponies looked the same! Except for Fluttershy. And I also saw these fake characters but I obviously knew they were just color-overs of the Mane Six. Such as, this character named Blossomworth. I think it was Blossomworth.

I KNOW! Frankly I'm disappointed. I guess MLP FIM was ment only for the 2D world of animation.

I have been looking at the parang buriko toys in stores for months now, and there is a lot of disappointment to be felt. :/ Supposedly they felt the need to alter Celestia's appearance for toys and merchandise (she appears twice on my bedsheets in kulay-rosas AND white) because little girls would find a kulay-rosas or purple toy parang buriko madami appealing. No idea why they honestly thought they'd sell madami that way. Obviously, in the beginning they probably hadn't counted on the ipakita itself being such a spectacular hit and a driving force for legions of new Hasbro customers.

I have a mixed reaction to the toys overall, because there are now so many different ones; a lot I find adorable, and show-accurate enough to please me. (The basic parang buriko figures aren't bad, in my opinion. Fluttershy is probably the most similar to her actual self. I have her, bahaghari Dash, & Pinkie Pie, plus McDonald's Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, and Celestia.) Others do leave much to be desired. The one you're thinking of, Blossomforth, is part of the group of "new ponies" I was JUST looking at earlier today!! They are indeed simply recolors of the mane six, or even other characters from the show. Their show-style larawan on the boxes demonstrate that fact. Of course, the parang buriko pictured on the box doesn't always match up to the one that the toy looks like. O.o Blossomforth resembles a bahaghari Dash with Fluttershy-like eyes...Cupcake seems to be a wingless, Pinkie-faced Fluttershy recolor...Lily Blossom is the one whose color scheme somewhat resembles Derpy's...and there are several others. Gah.

I wouldn't really mind them making up new ponies, but it's dismaying that they still seem to think that the market for these toys doesn't care about the integrity and individuality of the products and characters. I definitely see most of how these toys have been based upon the ipakita and its characters/designs, so that they're not totally ignoring it, and yet...they took an awful lot of license, and stretched some of them quit a bit from what most of us would like to see. :/

I think you're right on the mark in the first paragraph. Hasbro probably would never have expected so many adults to be interested in collecting the toys. Little girls probably don't care as much, as long as the toys are fun to play with. I just wish that Hasbro would recognize NOW that it actually matters to people how the toys look.
