Did anyone else see the parallels between the compass in "Tallahassee" and the magic sitaw in "...And Straight On 'Til Morning"?

Both the sitaw and the compass are necessary tools to travel between the worlds and are a symbol of hope. Both items take a lot of hassle to procure - climbing the beanstalk and fighting the giant for the compass and growing and fighting Tamara and Greg for the bean.

In "Tallahassee" Emma has the compass and refuses to let Hook hold it before deciding to not to risk trusting him and chaining him up. She couldn't risk trusting him because she had to get back to Henry....
