My parents and I talked about getting a Shetland Sheepdog or a Border Collie, not a German Shepherd. It seems that Diesel chose me." Jane said, "Yeah, he did. I think he chose a good person." Paula smiled and said, "Aw! You're just saying that. Really?" Jane said, "Yeah. I think Diesel sensed that you would pag-ibig him and care for him. I know that, because I know what it's like to need a friend. I remember the compassion you showed me when I first moved here." This made Paula cry happy tears. She hugged Jane and then petted Diesel and said, "My two best friends!"
