After everyone left the New Religion household, Carl asked, "Did you have a good birthday, Paul?" Paul said, "It was the best. I had no idea you were doing all this for me." Erin said, "We thought it would be nice to throw a surprise party for you, since you've never had one." Lola said, "Yeah. You really surprised me on my twenty-first birthday, Paul. I had to return the favor." Paul smiled at his mates, and they smiled back. He offered to help his mates clean up, but Erin insisted that he go on to bed. She said, "You look tired. I think you deserve a rest." Paul proceeded to get ready for bed. When he got into his bed, he was so exhausted that he fell asleep before his head hit the pillow. Erin, Carl, and Lola finished cleaning up, and they went to check on Paul. He was sound asleep, but he didn't have the covers on him. Erin gently covered him up so that he could stay warm. She then stroked his hair and whispered, "Good night, Paul." She quietly slipped out of the room with Carl and Lola. Lola said, "I think we should call it a night." Carl said, "I agree." Erin said, "I'm glad Paul had a good birthday." Lola said, "Me too." They then went to their beds for the night.

It was summer. Jane and Paula were looking pasulong to enjoying some time off from school. Neither one of them liked school much, mainly because of the bullying, but they did enjoy each other's company. Jane's Siberian Husky puppy, Shiloh, was growing up fast. Jane said, "Puppies grow up so fast." Paula said, "I know. When we first met, Shiloh was a tiny puppy." Jane said, "Yeah, and she's now getting close to the full size of a typical Siberian Husky." Jane and Paula reminisced about the months since they had met. They had grown very close. They made a pact that they would remain mga kaibigan for life, no matter what.
