If you check my Dylan or Counting Crows, etc picks...I hate to do it, put I have to pick a well known one, just b/c I honestly feel it's the best, "Fake Plastic Trees", I think it's the song where Thom Yourke found his true voice, the song vibrates my soul. It's got something heartwrenchingly sad about it, which puzzles me b/c I'm always real, always myself, a real what you see is what you get kinda person. madami and madami people each araw become totally fake, and there was a time when I loved people. Now I'm so misanthropic I have to conciously keep myself from killing people at least three times a week. A part of me i guess misses my old self terribly, and wish that things would be as they were and my puso would follow. It's also just so poetic and sung perfectly, with such a powerful delivery. So fake pastic trees wins out over "No Surprises" sa pamamagitan ng a pretty comfortable margin. That's another gem though, a very relatable one for me, well written and powerfully delivered, madami in touch with my feelings these days, and beautifully melancholic, backed up perfectly with the music. There's also some entrancing about the music intro. "Just" is also a good one, but the only reason it demands mention is b/c it's a great song and they made that incredible video for it, which is based on an old concept, I'm not sure who the first one to put it on paper and copyright it was, but there was an episode of the early 80's relaunch of the Twilight Zone series; but something about the way it was filmed, the way it fit with the song, and the concept in general took it to a whole other level.
