I was thinking about Damons dying and Stefans compelling her to forget everything and She ends up with some human guy, but I think This is very predictable. I believe she becomes a vampire :)

It will be either Damon + Elena or neiher Salvatore. I'm very sure of it.

I have a feeling, that it's going to be Stefan, but I'm hoping that it will be Damon.

Though we could be wrong and she ends up with Stefan then the whole triangle was kinda pointless.

It has to be Stelena. Why would Stefan write a diary about how Elena fell in love with his brother? Would you do something shitty like that? oO Even everybody in the show, the characters ship Stelena. Elena said it was always going to be Stefan. And if you want Damon to be happy, you would ship Stelena too. You would know that Elena isn't the one, who can make him happy. He needs a woman who can handle him, like Rose, Lexi. They were so strong characters! And trust me when I tell you, I'm not saying this because I'm a Stelena shipper.

I honestly can see it being Damon. Elena gives Damon something; his humanity. Before Elena, Damon was as bad as Stefan use to be (reckless etc.). Though, Stefan was the same Stefan he was in season 1 and 2 before he met Elena. I just have always felt like Elena betters Damon, she doesn't change him but helps him realize who he really is.

Also, I agree with the Stefan monologue thing too. It would be so cool if thats how it ends, with Stefan writing in his diary! @el0508, it's always possible for Stefan and Elena to come to some understanding where they remain friends, ever thought of that? :) Maybe this is a story of Stefan's about how he has came to be who he is.. (in the future when he's writing) and the love triangle/s are part of it along with the originals and his ripper phases etc..
