The sire bond creates loyalty not feelings. JP sinabi that Elena already had feelings for Damon, it didn't make them. But it does make her have to do what he says. He didn't tell her to pag-ibig him, to break up with Stefan, to halik him back, and she was the instigator for sex. She still has her free will on her emotions. And once Damon is aware of the sire bond, you can bet he'll be madami careful about what he tells her to do from now on because he doesn't want to force anything on her.
