This is a essay I wrote for ELA class and my teacher liked it so much that she sent it into a witing contest and I won! These will be displayed at the hockey game I am going to to spread awareness about bullying. How to Prevent Bullying ?

    
    Bullying is an immense problem principally in public schools and online. Bullying can lead to serious effects like depression or suicide for the individual that is being bullied. The preponderance of bullying happens in Middle school and High school. Bullying can lead to serious medical issues from being abused and psychological problems. These both happened to Peter when he was abused sa pamamagitan ng Cole.


    Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior which may appear as abusive treatment. It may include verbal harassment, physical assault, or coercion which means to force someone to behave in a way that they don’t want to. Bullies may behave this way to be perceived as popular or tough or to get attention. This is weird because they are targeting a weaker and less poular kid which in my eyes makes you look madami like a wimp for being scared of stronger and madami popular kids\and definetley not a person I would want to be mga kaibigan with.


    One of the worst things about bullying is that adults sometimes don’t even realize that bullying is happening until it is too late. This happens because the individuals who are being targeted are often to intimidated sa pamamagitan ng the bully that they don’t tell an adult because they are scared that the bully will find out and bully them even more. When there are bystanders that are witnessing the bullying the bystanders want to help but are afraid of taking on the bully themselves. However, some of the bystanders get into a group and stand up to the bully but sometimes that still fails. 85% of the time bystanders will either tease the victim along with the bully or egg the bully on. However most of the time bystanders will do nothing like what the bystanders did when Cole beat Peter up.

    
    Bullying can happen almost anywhere especially when the area is unsupervised sa pamamagitan ng an adult. The tuktok five worst states for bullying in the United States from least to greatest are, #5 Washington,#4 Pennsylvania ,#3 Illinois,#2 New York and #1 California. There are about 4, 080,879 victims of bullying in the United States sa pamamagitan ng itself. There are also about 3, 892,199 bullies in the United States. That is way to many because everyone goes on about world peace and things like that but then they go and bully somebody in their own class. I think the first step to world peace is getting along and then maybe we could all work together for world peace.
    
Bullies sometimes act the way they do because they come from families that fight a lot at home. So they either don’t notice or don’t care what they are doing to these poor people who are getting bullied. The effects of bullying are horrible the victims have committed suicide before because they got hurt so badly just like Peter tried to do before he came on the island with Cole.

    There many ways to decrease the numbers of bullies and victims and I think that even though people are trying we need all of America to stand up and say no to bullying. Ways to stop bullying are to get help from teachers at your school to start a bullying prevention program, Stand up to bullies in groups, and tell a teacher if you witness bullying.

    
    So you see, bullying is a serious and matter and we need to get madami active on preventing it and schools need to enforce a no bullying rule just like states need to have laws against it. If we all worked together I am sure there would be a lot less bullying. Bullies would maybe even see that they are really hurting these people and that they should stop.
