I actually believe that it will turn out he has been brainwashed or has a bomb inside his eye like everyone else had, so we must obey. Or my most possible reason is that this is a big plan of Coulson and Ward. The look they gave each other while Ward was leaving from the plane is something....I think Ward is undercover for SHIELD and Coulson knows all about it.

there has to be more to this than what we've seen and what the interviews of the producers are telling us! because i don't believe that Ward has been a HYDRA agent all along and was planning every move of his with each character - saving Jemma, being Skye's S.O, having a rel'ship with May. Hopefully it will turn out to be something we'll learn about within the next 5 epi's itself!

I never liked him, he was a douche, so it's not completely unbelievable... but I didn't think he was complete evil, just.. well, a douche. Lol
