Chapter One
My feet thudded on the hard, desert-like ground as I ran ahead, my gun raised and bullets spraying out, each taking down a soldier. I panted as I ran, trying to keep up with the rest of the team, who were, of course, sweating furiously. My throat was dry but I ignored the feeling, and I sighed in relief when the team finally slowed down in front of a large building.
“All right,” one said. “This is the place.”
