"And what is that?"I sinabi as I began to walk back to the Palace.
She shifted from leg to leg,"Well, he had me bring Princess Alyssa here."
I froze and my tracks and turned back to Serenity,"And you did?"
"Well...yes, she is on my back right now," She turned her massive body around so her back was facing me. And there, on her, back was Princess Alyssa smiling down at me.
"Well Keirrn, be a gentleman and help me down," she sinabi smirking at me.
I sighed and offered her my arm to help her down.
"Now Keirrn, is that anyway to greet your betrothed," she smile shyly and batted her eyelashes at me.
Alyssa was the daughter of The White King, the Lord VanDerick, he had asked me to take her as my mate when I brooched the subject of an important trade agreement, he had sinabi that our marriage was the price of the agreement. I needed a madami efficiant way to feed my people during the winter, so I agreed. It was my guess that he wanted a closer tie to the power of Red, and he found a way.
They looked nothing alike though, since his visit to the world of the Jasper Park mga lobo some five-hundred years ago, he prefers to take the shape of a human instead of the native form of both White and Red, which was a combo of man and wolf.
I had been frustrated at first, even after two-hundred years of mine own rule, he could still manipulate me like that. I had taken my frustration out on her and treated her as if she was scum, to my emense shame.
However, despite all the dishonor I showed her she still remained outwardly charming and optimistic, and looking back I couldnt help but admire her.
On one occasion, my destain for her vanished and my guilt had begun. At a party for the nobality of the Red, I had sent Blair to fetch her, so that she would be on my arm, like a prize dog you could say. When Blair did not return for an oras or so, I went up to see what was happening. I reached her chambers but some instict had me refrain from opening the door, instead I listened to through a crack in the seam.
There I heard her confess to Blair, how she really felt, but how despite everything I had done she still loved me. Blair later gave me the tongue-lashing of a life time, as my sister not my guard.
Soon after I found myself falling for this bravo girl that was traded sa pamamagitan ng her father to a man that treated her as he would a dog, yet remained strong.

She slid off of Serenity's back and I caught her in my arms. She gasped when the cold of my armour touched her through the thin silk dress she wore. She stared at me, her eyes a beautiful blue that sparkled in the last rays of the dying sun. I saw a apoy there, a need that was not being met, an impatience for something long awaited.
"Keirrn..."
I silenced her with a kiss, a deep, loving kiss. If she were surprised sa pamamagitan ng my display of affection and pag-ibig she did not ipakita it as I felt her arms slid around my shoulders from where I held her in my arms.
She broke from the halik laughing. Her eyes gleaming with mischief.
"Now that," she said, "is a good way to greet your betrothed. Now set me down, my dress is riding up and we arent supposed to do anything of that nature tell after the ceremony."
"Not a chance," I sinabi playfully nibbling her neck, "I like holding you, though doing so in kama would be madami fun."
She laughed again and pushed me away, but then decided against it. She snuggled in closer, as close as my breastplate would allow.
"In that case, you can hold me all you want, though not in bed," she smiled coyly, "not yet."

The sun finally sank below the horizon, casting the world into a dark purple as the moon began its ascent.
"Little ones, sinabi Serenity entering both our minds as so to speak with us, "Im sure that the princess is tired from the flight, we should escort her to her room so that she may rest."
"Of course," I said, "Where are my manners, Ill see you to your room, and have servents bring you some pagkain and a bath to wash away the weariness."
"If greet me like this every time I return from a visit, I may decide to forget this little lapse in courtesy."
"Of course, my Lady," I sinabi as I began to set her down.
"Wait, Keirrn."
I froze mid-motion.
"Yes?"
"Carry me."
"Pardon?"
"You heard, I sinabi carry me, I want you to carry me to my chambers." She looked away, "and if you need an excuse say I was tired from my flight."
She looked sad, a side effect from my former abuse was that she was always thinking I was embarressed of her.
I touched her nose with my own and smiled comfortingly at her.
"And why would I need an excuse to carry my beloved to her chambers at her request? No, I need no excuse to others for what I do when I am with you."
She smiled and kissed my neck, "Im so happy you think that."
I looked over my shoulder and called to where Blair was hidden in the shadows, invisable to all she didnt wish to see her.
"Blair, cut my Lady's luggage off of Serenity's back and have some servants bring it to her chambers."
"Yes Sire, it shall be as you say," She melded back into the shadows, off to do what I had commanded.
I smiled back down at Alyssa, still snuggled against me as I held her in my arms.

Later that night, after everything had settled down, I sat in my study idly Pagsulat up reports and orders in the light of a flickering candle, and settling a dispute of two Small Lords over a certain holdfast that the both wanted, I walang tiyak na layunin thought drifted into my head.

Serenity shifted and rolled over to look at me from where she lay on the sopa in human form.
"Why for your wedding of course, VanDerick decided it was time, and threatens to revoke his trade agreement with you, if you do not."
I cursed and stood up. Its not that I didnt want to marry Alyssa, but I wanted to do it on my own terms.
"And Lord Phyran? Will he be in attendance?" I sinabi aloud not wanting to project my thoughts across our link sa pamamagitan ng speaking mind to mind.
She smiled slighty, "Yes, the God of Black will be there, everyone one puts aside war and struggle when a God is married."
Great, I thought, cant wait to see the clashing powers sit peacefully susunod to each other.

I rubbed my eyes and blew out the candle. I walked into my chambers and climbed into bed.
I layed awake for awhile, thinking of everything that had happened today, Alyssa, the Jasper wolves, the wedding. I would not have gotten any sleep if Serenity had not entered my mind and washed the thoughts from my head.
She murmered gentle things until I slept.
I dreamed of a a tri-colored rose burning and a sense of forboding swept into my dreams.

The God's of war had begun their game.
