 Angry Birds World Traveller
Angry Birds World Traveller
We all have been wondering what the future holds for Angry Birds. While we all would like to see the original app and Seasons continuing onward, it seems -– or it was at least the initial plan -– that Rio would end in November (-ish). So, if Rovio chooses to close out Rio sa pamamagitan ng year’s end, what would happen after that?

Well, everyone has been talking about an “Angry Birds 2: Revenge of the Pigs” -– an app where the pigs retaliate against the birds. While I may be biased (I’m a tagahanga of the birds, not the pigs) I think this app is rather limited. Basically, what special abilities can the pigs have?

Our idea is sa pamamagitan ng no means unique, but I think it is a possibility when we look at the “Mooncake Festival” episode of Seasons. A new app called “Angry Birds: World Traveler” with seven episodes (not necessarily 45 levels each, but between 15 and 45 is fine). The pigs steal the eggs outside of Helsinki (Espoo to be precise) and start catching planes, trains, and automobiles (and boats, but I wanted the movie reference) around the world.

Episode 1 – Europe

The pigs begin, of course, in Finland. Over the course of the episode, they flee from the Scandinavian Peninsula, tumawid Germany and Poland, check out France, etc. etc. Of course, not every country in Europa can be represented (there are 50 of them), but if possible that would be cool as well. On one hand, it would be fun to see the sites. On the other, it would be educational for children. Kids and their parents could go through and see if they can name each country based on the background. The Parthenon in Greece, the Pope’s pad (aka St. Peter’s Basilica) in Vatican City, the Eiffel Tower in France, Big Ben in the UK, and many more. Either way, the birds and pigs would work their way east-to-west, eventually crossing the pond to…

Episode 2 – North America

Now, not just the good ol’ U.S. of A., but North America consists of 23 countries. We can go east-to-west to begin with, landing in New York and seeing some of the major cities in both the US and Canada (e.g., DC, Ottawa/Quebec/Montreal, Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles). The pigs then venture south of the border to Mexico City and Central America, Isthmus of Panama, and the Caribbean Islands. They continue their bangka ride into…

Episode 3 – South America

South America only has 12 countries, so we can visit each a few times, but some of the sights there are amazing. My personal paborito is Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (you may recognize it from the splash page in the app “Rio”). We enjoy the mixture of mountains and jungles, stopping off in Venezuela, Chile, Ecuador, and Machu Picchu in Peru, working our way north-to-south. When we reach Buenos Aires, Argentina and bangka our way to…

Episode 4 – Africa

We land in Cape Town, South Africa. After a quick stop in Madagascar, the pigs flee north to the temple at Yeha in Ethiopia in the east and the Tichitt Walata in Ghana in the west. After a long, tiring trek across the Sahara, the pigs arrive in Cairo, Egypt. Amidst the sea of sand, we see the pyramids and the Great Sphinx. (Which creature in the morning goes on four legs, at mid-day on two, and in the evening upon three, and the madami legs it has, the weaker it be?) We arrive at the Suez Canal and tumawid into…

Episode 5 – Asia

The Suez will bring you from Egypt into Israel. Again, probably too many countries to hit them all (48 of ‘em), but hitting the highlights is of course educational. We work our way west-to-east, seeing Mount Everest in Nepal, the Great pader in China, Eastern Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg are technically in Europe, so be weary), and ending at Mount Fuji in Japan. The pigs then bangka to some of the Pacific Islands on their way to…

Episode 6 – Australia and Oceania

This is a subtle distinction, but you can do your own research and figure out the exact geographical qualifications for the area, but I think the idea is clear. The pigs will be island-hopping, hitting a few of the major cities is Australia (especially the Great Barrier Reef), checking out the Maori architecture of New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and many of the other beautiful islands. Oceania is rather small (only 14 independent countries), so there would be a deal of repetition involved here. Nonetheless, delve southward (pack your coat) and arrive in…

Episode 7 – Antarctica

Now, I will concede, there probably isn’t much to see in Antarctica. But here are some fun facts. Antarctica is the largest desert in the world, madami than 2 million square-miles larger than the Sahara, though Antarctica receives twice the annual precipitation (8 inches) than the Sahara (3.9 inches). Temperatures can dip to -129°F (-89°C). To no surprise, there are no permanent residents, but at any ibingiay time, madami than 2000 people will be on the continent. But nonetheless, Antarctica is awesome because it has penguins, and penguins = awesome. The pigs could bundle up in heavy coats, scarves, and ibong dagat costumes. That sounds cool to me!

Of course, this listahan is nowhere near complete. There are many other countries that I have not listed and I apologize if I left your country or city off the list. I’m a mathematician, not a geographer or historian; nor do I have the puwang to listahan out every country in the world. But, in my opinion, this could be an awesome app! As a bonus, after completing a level, there could be an “information card” option that explains the background. For example, “The Eiffel Tower (1889), Paris, France” or “Machu Picchu (15th c.), Urubamba Valley, Peru”.
Sound the alarm! Bad Piggies is now available for iOS, Android, Mac, and PC! Take a deep breath because there is a lot, and we mean A LOT, of information to outline (consider this our exhaustive guide to this amazing game). If you’re eyes have already glazed over, or you had too much tusino for breakfast (shame on you!), then watch the “First Look” video above. It contains a lot of great info as well as a bunch of the actual gameplay. Okay, without further ado, let’s get started.

‘Tis the season for eggnog hangovers, twinkly lights, bolded text, and … Angry Birds! We are here to bring you another worldwide exclusive! No reason to ask Santa for an update when Rovio is feeling as generous as Ebenezer Scrooge after being visited sa pamamagitan ng the Ghost of pasko Yet to Come. Angry Birds Seasons “Winter Wonderham” will be the third annual winter update to this epic franchise. Like Halloween, it’s a true tradition.

Now, details are very very sparse at the moment, but we are willing to speculate about a few things. Our disclaimer here is that absolutely nothing is confirmed...

Amidst all the hoopla of magpabago here in the Angry Birds Universe — from the release of Bad Piggies to their invasion of the original Angry Birds app — there has been quite a bit of news not related to actual gaming.

Bad Piggies Cookbook App

About a taon ago, Rovio released a hardcover book called Bad Piggies’ Egg Recipes, which featured many different recipes for cooking eggs and all that jazz. (If you’re interested, we wrote about it briefly last July.) But ibingiay the new “digital” age of — well, of absolutely everything in the world — this book has been turned into an app for...

Man, Rovio has gotten so darn good about teasing us with what’s to come. Today is no exception! On the heels of the amazing release of Bad Piggies comes this perplexing image that they just posted to their Facebook page. The caption simply reads:

The birds are about to go on an adventure… but where? Clue tomorrow!

So I guess we will know madami tomorrow, but who wants to wait a whole day. Not this guy! Well, unfortunately, like you, I don’t know what this is, but it’s fun to speculate. Here is what I see:

Something covered sa pamamagitan ng fabric. Duh!
It’s seems to be space, as I see stars in the background...
