I've always been asked to attend one by friends, but I'm usually so busy that I never have time! I don't have any near me, either. Sometimes I think about attending, but then again, I feel like I'd be kind of self conscious at one of those.

I agree with Cerudays about being self-conscious at a convention. :s I would really like to go to one, at least once, but I don't live anywhere near the places where conventions are held. It would be fun to cosplay and attend one, but I would still feel kind of nervous.

I haven't, but I'v always wanted to go to one, they look really fun. I also don't have any held near where I live.

I went to my first one last December!! <33 It was a new one that just opened in my home area! Hoping to go again this year.

I go to my one each year. This will be my 5th year.

I must say that I loveee all the merchandise and gaming stalls there, but I really hate how crowded it gets... everyone can be in your face and it's a bit unsettling... :/

I went to Nebraskon last year as my birthday present.

I certainly have... It wasn't just anime, but I guess it counts, since I saw someone cosplaying as Sosuke Aizen from Bleach and several others of which I can't remember who they were cosplaying. XD

And I want to go to one so bad.

Yes! My first one was in 2002 at Gencon when I first saw Azumanga Diaoh (my obsession for the 2000's decade), Chobits, Hellsing, Read or Die, and Real Bout High School. Haven't been to one in about three years ever since I started watching Crunchyroll online and felt overly saturated with new anime and didn't feel the need to discover new titles by going to a con. But I'm going to Anime Detour next year.

My friends and I make an event out of the con we go to every year, we cosplay and meet new people, it's so much fun. I love going to the panels and meeting the voice actors, and who doesn't like seeing all the merchandise XD I'm lucky that the biggest con in my state is only and hour away from me, this year I'm also thinking of going to a UK con and maybe see about going to an even larger convention that's near Chicago.

but i am going to AnimeBoston in March!
