I agree. I do not let my hair color preferences determine my opinion of the character, but I do, just as any other human, find some colors more alluring than others.

Maybe because Japanese peoples are generally have black hair so looking at the characters with black hairs are resemble Japanese peoples best, in my opinion. While anime characters in bright hair looks more like Caucasian peoples. But I also like brunette/brown and red.

Yellow, purple, pink, green, and bright red is colour I hate the most for hair. Black haired showing true personality and more realistic. Watch SnK, most of them have dark hair and they showing true personality and more realistic (thank god Isayama not adding dark red or red for hair). You can connect most of the characters with dark colours.
