Appa soared through the skies; Kaya and Miko were up on front, while the rest were at the back.
"He's gotta be here somewhere." Miko mumbled.
"Miko, he could be anywhere!" exclaimed Kaya.
"Maybe we should land, and find the man sa pamamagitan ng foot." Lee suggested. "It'll be much easier."
Kaya and Miko gave each other thoughtful looks.
"You're right." Kaya agreed. "We should land."
Soon, Appa land safely at an Earth Kingdom village; the gang got off from the bison, and searched for the old merchant.
The kids asked almost every person on the Earth Kingdom village, but no one knew him.
It was almost sun down, and still no sign of the merchant.
"He's gotta be here!" Miko insisted. "He's gotta be here!"
Lin looked around her; suddenly, she saw an old man at a small stand, he looked just like what Miko described the old merchant.
"I found him!" cried Lin.
Miko ran up to Lin and grabbed her sa pamamagitan ng the shoulders.
"Where?" he asked frantically.
Lin pointed to the old man she saw; Miko's face lit in contentment.
"It's him!" he cried. "You did it, Lin! It's him!"
Miko hugged Lin so tight, she thought she was going to snap in half. Miko released Lin from his firm hug, and ran towards the old merchant, the others followed.
The old man was polishing a shining silver pot, when he saw Miko at his face, the old man jumped in fright.
"What do you want, kid?" he demanded.
"Where's the necklace?" Miko demanaded.
"What necklace? I got no necklace!" snapped the old merhcant.
Miko grabbed the old man sa pamamagitan ng his shirt, and pulled him closer to his face.
"Listen, here, Old man," began Miko. "I traded my cousin's kuwintas for your boomerang, now I want it back! So tell me, WHERE IS IT!?"
The old man soon recognized Miko, the old man's face turned pale.
"The necklace...I...I traded it." the old man answered.
"YOU WHAT?!" yelled Miko, and he shoved the old man firecely.
That attracted the attention of the entire village.
"Miko, calm down!" sinabi Kaya.
The awatara turned to the old man.
"Sir, to whom did you trade my necklace?" Kaya asked the old man, kindly.
"I...I traded it to a woman, with skin as pale as a ghost, lips blood red, and hair black as the night!" explained the old man. "She had a tatoo of a skull with an eye patch on her right shoulder."
Kaya's eyes grew wide, she knew who the old man was talking about.
"Ming." she whispered. "She has it. She has my necklace."
Miko banged his fist on the stand.
"It's all my fault!" shouted Miko. "If I haven't traded that necklace, none of this would have happened!"
Keeya, who was with them as well, ran to Miko and placed her hand on his shoulder.
"Miko, it wasn't your fault! Accidents happen!" Keeya explained. "All we need now is to find Ming and get the kuwintas back! Simple!"
"I don't think so." Hiru cut in. "Ming might be using the kuwintas to plot something against us. It won't be easy to get it back."
Miko took a deep breath, and approached the old man.
"Old man, where did she go?" he asked.
"She went that way." he answered, pointing to the direction she went.
Miko studied the direction.
"It looks like she headed north." Miko decided. "We have to follow her."
"And we will!" assured Kaya. "This is an opportunity for us to track down the Conquerors and stop them once and for all!"
Miko smiled at his cousin, Kaya smiled back.
"Come on guys, let's get to Appa!" announced Miko.
Everyone went to the bison; Lin went back to the old man and bowed before him.
"Thank you, sir." she thanked him, and quickly headed towards the bison.
The old man smiled to himself, picked up his sliver pot, and continued to polish it.

The ground trembled at the Northern Air Temple. It's ruins shook, making dust and pebbles fall to the ground.
Yuki studied the horizon from the tower; she studied closely until she saw tanks coming towards the Temple. Her eyes grew wide in fear, and ran from the window.
She ran up and down stairs, through corridors and long hallways, until she opened a door that led to a small room; it's walls were covered with papers filled with inventions, the desks were pilled with paper and small tools, and on one of the desks, stood a man with white hair that rose up, he had a light scar that circled his left eye, and he wore a white tapis over his green clothing. The man turned towards the sound of the door opening.
"Mr. Mechanist! Mr. Mechanist!" gasped Yuki.
"What is it, Yuki?" asked the Mechanist.
"They're here! The Conquerors are here!" Yuki told the Mechanist. "And this time, they got tanks!"
The Mechanist's face grew pale. He knew what this meant.
"They want madami weapons." he whispered. "Even after I told them I wouldn't make it!"
"But, mister, if you don't make more, then--"
"I know, Yuki, I know. They'll kill Teo." interuppted the Mechanist. "But I won't do it! I can't! I already caused a lot of trouble when I worked for the apoy Nation, I don't want any toruble with the Conquerors now!"
"But, sir, they got tanks, and--"
"Yuki, go warn the rest, warn Teo! They must be prepared." the Mechanist ordered. "Oh, if only the awatara was still alive."
"But, sir, the awatara is alive!" Yuki mentioned. "He was reborn into his own daughter, a Waterbender! And I know a person that knows her!"
The Mechanist's face lit with joy; he hugged Yuki tight.
"Then go warn your friend!" the Mechanist ordered. "Find him as soon as possible! Please, Yuki! You're my only hope!"
"I will, Mr. Mechanist! I will!" assured Yuki and left the room.
Yuki ran from room to room, warning the people of the Conquerors; soon, everyone was on their feet, gathering weapons to fight off the Conquerors.
Yuki wasn't born in the Northern Air Temple, she was taken for shelter sa pamamagitan ng the Mechanist, himself. He showed her all of the places in the Temple, so she knew where to leave without being seen from Ming and the Conquerors, she went to a secret tunnel that led her straight to the village.
As she got to the village, she ran as fast as she could, she asked everyone about Miko, but no one knew who he was; until she met the old merchant, she asked him about Miko, the old merchant knew what she was talking about, and told her that they were heading north. Yuki thanked the old man, and ran north to seek for Miko.
Another characteristic that Miko earned from his father was his instincs, and it told Miko to land immediately.
"Miko, why are you landing?" asked Suka. "We still got a long way to go!"
"My instincts told me." explained Miko.
"Ugh, again with the instincts!" Suka complained. "Can you, like, not listen to them for once?"
But Miko ignored his siter, and landed Appa.
Miko got off from Appa, and landed on his feet on the hard ground.
He hears sounds of footsteps running towards him; he turned to the direction the sounds were coming from. He began to see a figure running up to him, as it got closer, he could see that it was a girl; it got madami closer, he finally realized that it was Yuki!
"Yuki!" he cried.
"Yuki? What does she want now?" asked Suka.
Miko ran towards Yuki, Yuki rested her arms on his shoulders and took deep breaths.
"Yuki, are you okay?" he asked. "What's wrong?"
"The Conqueros!" she cried. "They're invading the Northern Air Temple! We need the Avatar's help!"
Miko's eyes grew wide, he faced Kaya.
Kaya had a look of determination on her face.
"We can find my kuwintas another time, this is much important." she decided.
Miko nodded in agreement, so did the rest. Soon, everyone was on Appa and flying towards the Northern Air Temple as quickly as possible.
While they were flying, Yuki explained everything to the gang.
"So the Mechanist was making their weapons?" Miko restated. "But gave up, and now they're coming back to get them sa pamamagitan ng force, or else they'll kill his son?"
"Yes." Yuki responded. "But please, you have to understand! The Mechanist had to make the weapons for his son's protection! He's truely a nice man!"
Then Yuki explained how she was sheltered sa pamamagitan ng the Mechanist.
"My father told me about how the Mechanist use to work for the apoy Nation," Miko began. "but in the end, he helped my father with the invasion, the araw of Black Sun."
Yuki turned to Kaya; tears streamed down her tan cheeks.
"Please, Kaya, you must help us!" Yuki begged.
It was then that Kaya noticed something familiar about Yuki. Her shiny white hair, her ocean blue eyes, her perfect tan skin...where have she seen her before?
"Of course." Kaya finally responded. "I will. Don't worry."
Yuki smiled at the Avatar, Kaya smiled back, still puzzled about Yuki's appearance.
"There it is!" Miko shouted.
The gang all turned towards the Northern Air Temple; it was on tuktok of a high cliff, and it had long, perfectly built towers. Under normal circumstances, it would have been the most wonderful view ever, but with the Conquerors almost at the entrance of the towers, it looked horrifying.
"They're almost at the entrance!" cried Yuki.
She collasped at Miko, hugged him so tight as tears rolled down her face. She glanced up at Miko, and he couldn't help but gaze at those beautiful blue eyes.
Miko was too distracted to land Appa, so Lee had to go up to the front, and land for him. They landed safely at the Northern Air Temple, everyone surrounded them; at first they thought they were Conqueror soldiers, but they recognized Appa, so they new they were safe.
They were surprised to see different people, except for Yuki, coming out of the air bison. The Mechanist ran towards Yuki and hugged her dearly.
"Yuki! You're safe!" cried the Mechanist.
"Mister, this is the awatara and her friends!" Yuki introduced them to the Mechanist.
"No time for introductions, my dear!" sinabi the Mechanist frantically. "We must--"
Silence fell as the Conquerors arrived, with Ming on the lead.
Kaya was shocked, there were madami soldiers than last time at the cave. This meant buissness.
Ming grinned at the Avatar.
"Hello, Avatar." Ming greeted. "We meet again."
"You're not getting away from this!" Kaya growled.
Ming chuckled to herself; she walked passed the awatara and towards the Mechanist.
"So, grandpa," began Ming. "Where's our weapons?"
"I already told you! I'm not making anymore!" cried the Mechanist.
"Oh right." sinabi Ming. "You decided to go on strike on us, huh?"
Ming snapped her fingers and two soldiers walked up to her.
"Search for the crippled." she ordered. "And kill him."
"NO!" cried the old Mechanist. "I won't let you!"
"Mister!" cried Yuki as she tried to hold him back.
"Looking for me?" called out a voice.
Everyone turned towards the voice; Teo was on his wheelchair, with his goggles on.
"Teo! Don't!" cried the Mechanist.
"It's alright, Dad." called Teo back. "I know what I'm doing."
Ming clapped her hands slowly. "Aww, what a touching scene. Too bad I don't have much time to appriciate the moment!"
With a snap of her fingers, the soldiers ran up to Teo. However, just as they got close to him, Lee and Lin jumped in front of them.
"We don't think so!" they both said.
"ATTACK!" cried Ming. The soldiers charged at them. Miko and Suka faught some of the soldiers, while Hiru and Iro faught the others, Lee and Lin were trying to protect Teo and Kaya and Keeya were trying to protect the others.
Just then, Iro spot someting shine on Ming's wrist. He squinted his eyes for a better veiw, and saw Kaya's kuwintas wrapped around Ming's wrist.
"The necklace!" Iro gasped, and ran for it.
He pushed and firbended soldiers out of the way, and almost grasped at the kuwintas when...
"He's gotta be here somewhere." Miko mumbled.
