How do you think Tarlock learned bloodbending?

To be honest, I have no idea. Surely they'll explain it within a few episodes in the future. But, I don't think he's related to Hama- if Katara can do it as well as Hama, I'm sure plenty of powerful benders can learn it in due time. Also, I highly doubt Hama had a family after what happened to her- she was a young woman when she was captured, and she spent most of her life afterward bitter.

The Yukone theory is strong, though. Tarrlok looks like him, and Yukone appeared to be blood bending in the flashback- I'm not sure if he's Yukone's son unless he had Tarrlok at an older age (Tarrlok is 37, while the gaang's kids are in their early 50's or late 40's.) ..I do believe they're related though.

I think Tarrlok is some evil equalist experimentation. A mechanical being. Or somebody else entirely. But he's stronger than he lets on, and could possibly be Amon. lol

i would think he would have to learn it or maybe he stumbled upon it when he was younger an just kept it a secret but that guy sure can make my blood boil DX

I think like Hama he learned sa pamamagitan ng controlling water in a person's or animals's body so he learned like that

There were waterbenders who learned bloodbending. Some just didn't use it because it was too twisted. Maybe Tarlock was trapped sa pamamagitan ng the Equalists, like Hama was. And he learned bloodbending and he escaped. I think that's why he's so against Amon and won't hesitate to hurt or go crazy to accomplish his goal.

Tarlock is able to bloodbend without a full moon so he must related to a very powerfull bender. So Ithink that is Aang's son or grandson.

If Yukon is kataras child maybe she taught them and they taught Tarlock who was their best friend.....(I think)..

Well your theory makes madami sense than mine did because mine took us all the way back to Hamma or Hama not really sure how to spell it but you theory makes alot of sense, even though i'm sure that the way Aang and Yukone got associated was because they were both on the council. But then Hamma/Hama was put in prison right? So the possibility of Katara having taught him makes lots of sense. Can't wait for this weeks episode!

for some reason i think Tarlock's true power is to energy bend and found a way to water bend through this. (same as a water bender can bend the molecules in the air and in fact airbend; or how Sozin was able to airbend). Also i dont understand why the council would need 2 waterbenders when they have all four bending styles....either tarlock is an awatara reject with mental bending powers who controls the other members, or he is a energy bender. Also another theory is that Tarlock and Armon are brothers....both connected to a spirit (or maybe powerful spirits)

(spoiler alert) Tarrlok is the son of Yakone. Therefore he probably inherited the bloodbending from his father. It actually told you that in Episode 9 when Korra made contact with awatara Aang.

Yakone is Tarrlok's dad.
