TVLine’s Full Lineup of 2015 Dream Emmy Nominees
Team TVLine has already brought you our Dream Emmy Ballots in 10 key Emmy races — click here to see our picks! — but we wanted to make one last push on behalf of a few favorites whose work was so outstanding this year that the possibility of a snub makes us want to get in touch with our inner
and unleash some unsanctioned justice on the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
With that said, we present the tenth of our Emmy Screening Room submissions:
‘s Vera Farmiga, for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. We defy you to watch from start to finish and tell us she shouldn’t hear her name called when nominees are announced on July 16.
The setup: Desperate to keep blackmailer Bob Paris from learning that her son, budding psycho Norman, murdered his father, Norma (Farmiga) breaks into the home of ally Alex (Nestor Carbonell) in hopes of retrieving the evidence against the crooked politician that he wants back. But, instead of hand it over, the sheriff challenges Norma to tell him the truth about her husband’s “accidental” death — and, in a roundabout way, about her feelings for him.

Emmys 2015: Lead Actress, Drama — Dream Nominees
As much as I love Vera and truly believe she deserves recognition this season, I really believe Freddie was the star of this season and I’m hoping he wins big.
great scene. Vera is great in season 3 of Bates Motel. hope she’ll get nominated this year after being snubbed last year.
Outstanding scene. Vera was phenomenal this season and so was Freddie Highmore. They both deserve Emmy nominations.
Vera is one of the best actresses on TV, hands down. This season was definitely her best yet and she absolutely deserves a nomination.
I hope Vera wins – she seriously deserves it! She’s amazing! *fingers crossed*
She has to get a nomination! Vera is the most brilliant performer this year for sure hands down! If the Emmy people has a little bit of fairness or a clue of what is acting, they’ll give her one!
Great call. She and Nestor played that scene so perfectly. I also loved her in the episode where she took off after the news about Dylan and Caleb hanging out together and left Norman for a night. She was just so desperate to get away from everything, and you couldn’t help but feel for her the whole time.
Definitely hoping she’ll get a nomination come Emmy announcement time. Same with Freddie.
She needs to be nominated and she needs to win!! Love the cast and Freddie is great, but I probably wouldn’t have watched the show if she wasn’t in it.
My dream pick for the winner is Keri Russell – no doubt. But Vera blew me away this season. She would be a fantastic winner, let alone nominee.
Hope she wins an Emmy, she’s amazing as Norma Bates.
