Of all the pleasing elements in the latest Bond film, the reinvention of Q as a young, anorak-clad computer genius was perhaps the most intriguing.
It was classic Ben Whishaw, an actor who is now being talked about as one of Britain’s finest. That he only worked on Skyfall for five days is surprising; that it was all he needed to make his mark, less so.
