Yoshi and Birdo

Our pag-ibig story started long before Yoshi and I ever actually met.

And when you think about it, most pag-ibig stories start that way. Every moment leading up to the one in which you meet your future husband or wife somehow shapes you and prepares you for that Dino you were fated for. Any nakaraan heartbreaks or dark days or lonely nights can be crucially important in the grand scheme of things—sometimes we need to know what something feels like when it’s wrong before we can ever really know it when another thing is RIGHT.


So that’s why I need to start the story with a little bit of background....

I have been observing Nintendo's treatment of Birdo since Mario Kart Double Dash and onwards starting with the GBA remake of SMB2 with Super Mario Advance. She was playable in Double Dash, but the disrespect only started from there. She was a boss you had to beat up sa pamamagitan ng throwing her own eggs at her in the OG of SMB2. Let's start with the My Little parang buriko side. Twilight and her mga kaibigan are walking tahanan from an adventure involve them beating a dragon who had tried to kidnap Spike. bahaghari and AJ layed the matunog na halik down, and AJ tied him up using a lasso covered in metal thanks to Twilight. Fluttershy tried reasoning, but almost got herself eaten. Rarity didn't want to get her hooves dirty, and Pinkie used a giant cupcake to distract him. They were all scuffed (except Rarity), dirty, and on their way home. They couldn't resist looking for a faster way to get home.
