Blake: (about filming racy scenes in "Gossip Girl") It's the most awkward thing! There's a room of 40 people watching you, they're telling you exactly how to ilipat your head, and it's completely silent. It's awful!
Blake: (about not being a party girl) I grew up with the mindset that when you get tahanan from work, you go to hapunan and watch a movie. I don't want to be going to a club and taking off my panties.
Blake: (When asked "What's the gossip, girl?") I'm being adopted sa pamamagitan ng Brad and Angelina.
Blake: (after moving to New York to film "Gossip Girl") I was raised in California, so this whole New York winter thing is completely new for me. I've already justified buying seven coats!
Blake: In high school, there are so many cliques. You're never safe. In between my junior and senior years, I went away to film Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and I came back ready to do the things with my mga kaibigan that we always did, but things change. People get older, and there are some inside jokes that you don't know about that have happened. You feel Nawawala for a while, and it's hard to come back from that. Then the mga kaibigan who have "replaced" you are territorial. I've experienced that a little bit. There are catty, insecure, and gossipy girls everywhere, but for me, I don't think it's a matter of any of them being genuinely bad at heart. I just think that maybe the different ways in which people are raised make them different and insecure. They point out the bad things in others just to make themselves feel better. It's everywhere.
Blake: (on the gossip about her and her costars) The biggest thing I've noticed is they kind of want everybody to be their character. Like Leighton [dating] Chace, and me and Leighton hating each other. Those are our characters on the ipakita – that's not us in real life.
Blake Lively: I had a lot of mga kaibigan in high school, but I was never the wild party girl. Never have been, never plan to be!
Blake: (on Serena) She's not caught up so much in the superficial anymore, She's really trying to find her inner self.
Blake: (on "Gossip Girl") It just hit me yesterday that our ipakita is going to come out soon. I thought, Oh crap, the ipakita is going to premiere in two weeks. It's so anonymous right now, and people are going to see it.
Blake: (on her character, Serena) Serena does have a past of being a bit wild, but what's interesting is that even though she's so young, she realizes that the way she's been living her life is wrong. It just makes her a cool person, that she's able to see that and wants to change.
Blake: (on her name) Actually, my grandma's brother's name was Blake, and my sister wrote it down when she was pagbaba a family tree. And they said, "If it's a boy, we'll name him Blake, and if it's a girl, we'll name her Blakely." And everybody thought I was going to be a boy, and then I came out and I was a girl. And they had already been calling me Blake for months because they were positive I was going to be a boy. And they had been calling me Blake for so long, they just kept it.
Blake:My whole family's been in the business. My whole family is crazy.
Blake: If you ever want something badly, let it go. If it comes back to you, then it's yours forever. If it doesn't, then it was never yours to begin with.
